"Had a great time at @MirandaMajesty's 18 birthday party last night! Thank you to @MadeinSpain for teaching me bachata and salsa, sorry about your toes lol ❤"
Jackson stares at the picture Sevyn posted on instagram ten minutes ago of her standing between a girl wearing a crown and bright green dress and a boy wearing a white tux and green tie. He's never seen them before so he knows they don't attend Marian Parker High. The thing that bothers him is the little heart at the end of her caption. They may be broken up but damn, she's sending hearts to other niggas now?
Feeling envious, Jackson clicks on the screen name of the boy she tagged in the picture and it goes to his profile. Luckily his profile is unlocked, letting Jackson see all his pictures. He scrolls through his pictures and he has to say that this boy seems pretty boring. Apparently his name is Emmanuel and he works at the trampoline park. He attends Asylum Hill High school and that Miranda girl is his sister.
Jackson wonders how they even met. For a moment he considers going to Monica and asking her questions but he knows she'll just laugh at him and call him jealous. Going to her brothers are another option but knowing them they'll beat him up just for trying to get information.
Feeling defeated, he exits out of the Instagram app. He honestly missed Sevyn and longs to have her everytime they pass each other in the halls, but with the way she's been ignoring him he's starting to feel like they're really over. And since she's able to move on so quickly, maybe it's time for him to do the same.
Jackson picks up his phone and opens the text he's been ignoring for days. He types a quick response then tosses his phone on the bed, knowing he'll get the reply he wants soon. He walks over to his closet and pulls out a black and orange Nike shirt with some dark jeans. He chooses to wear his orange and white KDs today along with his north face jacket. A moment later his phone vibrates and he presses the button to see the text.
"Pick me up in twenty minutes."
He nods and tosses his phone to the side with a satisfied smile plays on his lips.
Monica beeps her horn three times as she sits outside of Sevyn's house. She called her up early this morning announcing that they're going to iHop for breakfast. There's no special occasion or anything, she's just hungry and doesn't feel like cooking.
The front door opens and Sevyn appears, waving goodbye to someone in the house before hurrying down the pathway to the car, almost busting her ass on some ice in the process. Monica laughs and unlocks her doors. Sevyn opens the door and plops down in the seat. "Shut up, that was black ice."
"Only your dumb ass would run like a mad woman down the sidewalk in the winter without watching out for ice." Monica shakes her head and puts the car in drive then takes off down the street.
"How was your shopping trip with Kat yesterday?" Sevyn ask her.
"It was fun. The mall we went to is huge, it looks us over an hour just to finish one level. And the food court was so good, the noodles I got from the Chinese place will have you on cloud 9." She says, remembering the tangy taste of her noodles. "And I might have gotten you some stuff." Sevyn's eyebrows raise at the mention of gifts from Monica. Monica always gives the best presents so she always enjoys her gifts. "The bag is in the back seat."
Sevyn twists herself around in her seat and stretches her arm to the back seat. She grabs the white shopping bag and brings it into her lap. Peeling back the tissue paper she reaches inside and pulls out a dark purple sweater with lace sleeves. Along with it comes a grey pair of PINK sweatpants that says TGIF in rhinestones on the butt. Sevyn gushes and gives Monica a sideways hug. "Thank you, you know me so well."
