Missing a day of school is like missing a whole week of school. Sevyn has to do all the work she missed yesterday, plus the homework that's assigned for tonight. She's already started stressing and its only third period.

When the bell rings, Sevyn feels like her head over loaded with information and her science partner Lexi isn't doing anything to make it better. All she keeps talking about is her pet hamster Barnaby and how it hasn't ran on its wheel in weeks. Sevyn feels like she's going to snap any minutes.

"I mean its not like he's fat but if he just runs on the wheel I don't have to worry about his health, you know?" Lexi continues.

Sevyn slams her science book shut and stands up from her chair. "No Lexi, I don't know what you're talking about and honestly I don't care about your stupid hamster. What I do know, is that if you don't do your share of the lab report I am going to strangle you and your obese hamster."

The whole class stops what they're doing in order to stare at Sevyn. Lexi sits there looking embarrassed and shocked like she's going to burst into tears in any minute, but Sevyn couldn't give a flying fudge ball right now, Lexi has been slowly driving her insane every class period and today she just cracked.

"Sevyn Harris, don't you ever let me hear you threaten another student again. Do you understand?" Their teacher yells. "Apologize, now!"

Sevyn turns her death glare towards her teacher and shoots daggers through her eyes. She looks back at Lexi and rolls her eyes before grabbing her backpack and textbook and heading towards the door. She breezes by Jackson as she goes and he watches her push out the door.

After stopping by her locker to throw her textbook inside, Sevyn walks to the cafeteria with crossed arms and a scowl. She didn't mean to snap on Lexi but all the stress from school just pushed her pass her breaking point. Letting out a deep breath, she goes into the cafeteria and plops down at her regular table.

Corey looks up from his phone, "Nice to see you too."

"Hi," she grumbles.

"I'm glad you're feeling better, Monica told us you weren't doing so good yesterday." Corey says. "For a second I thought you stayed home because of what I said yesterday but then she clarified everything."

Sevyn shakes her head while sadly looking at Corey. "It had nothing to do with what I said to you Corey. I over reacted about everything and I shouldn't have made the situation seem like your fault. I never should have come on to you like that, I'm sorry."

Corey just smiles, "It's ok shorty, I'm over it." He holds his fist out to her, "We good?"

"Yup," she daps him and he nods. Sevyn glances around at the other tables to see that's today's lunch is grilled cheese and a muffin. She makes up her face, grilled cheese from school is just a bunch of greasy fat. She almost threw up the last time she bit into it and vowed never to eat it again. She'll just survive on some milk and fruit until school ends when she can get some real food.

Their friends join the table, sitting at their usual seats. As she sits down, Monica drops a torn piece of paper into Sevyn's lap. Sevyn picks it up and unfolds it, she reads the slightly slanted handwriting and her stomach flip flops.

"Meet me at my locker during lunch." -JD

Sevyn looks up at Monica who's smiling at her. "Is this legit?" She asks.

Monica rolls her eyes, "I sure as hell don't write like that. He gave it to me a few minutes ago."

"Ooh is that a note from your bae?" Talia asks with a playful smirk.
