Today is the last day of Keenan's anger management class. The overseer decided that he's made great progress since December and is ready to graduate.

When he walks into the familiar office, he's greeted by balloons, streamers and a cake in the middle of the round table. Other people taking the class are there too, clapping for him as he walks inside.

"Thank you everyone," He says grinning from ear to ear.

"You're very welcome Keenan, you deserve this." Mr. Myers, his consultant, says. "It's been very rewarding watching you mature and grow as a person."

"I couldn't have done it without you." Keenan admits. Mr.Myers has been working with Keenan since he got out of jail. At first Keenan was cold to him, he was convinced that he didnt need help and that his anger was well controlled. He skipped meetings, lashed out and refused to speak. Over time he progressively got better for the sake of Aubrey, the baby and himself. If it wasn't for Mr.Meyers, he doesn't know where he'd be mentally.

"Before you go mingle, there's someone who would like to speak to you." Mr.Meyers gestures for Keenan to follow him to the far corner of the room where a lady is standing by the window. Keenan recognizes her right away.

"Rose," he says surprised.

"Hello Keenan," Her soft voice still as pleasant as he remembers. When he was in jail, Rose was assigned to him as his psychiatrist. She tried everything for him to open to open up to her and it was thanks to her that he didn't get labeled as mentally ill by the jury. She even brought him a baby book to read when she discovered Aubrey was pregnant.

Mr.Meyers leaves them alone to chat. "What are you doing here?" Keenan's asks her.

"Mr.Meyers told me about your progress and invited me to the celebration." She says tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "It's nice to see how far you've come."

"I have you to thank for that. You really opened up my eyes when I was jail. You made me see that I had to own up to my responsibilities and change myself in order to be a role model for my daughter."

"Oh you're having a little girl?" Rose asks excitedly.

"Yeah, we're naming her Neveah." He adds.

"Beautiful name," Rose looks around at the party. "Well I'm not going to hold you for long. I just wanted to congratulate you on your progress, keep up the good work."

"Thank you," Keenan gives her a grateful handshake before heading over to the table with the cake. Mr.Meyers hands him a knife and he slices the first piece.

When he gets home he places the left over cake on the kitchen table for anyone who wants it, then heads upstairs to his room.

Before doing his homework he changes into some sweatpants and a t-shirt and relaxes on the bed. He sends Aubrey a text to check in on her and see if she needs anything, then scrolls through Instagram for some entertainment. He stops on a picture of Sevyn and her brothers, he reads her caption that talks about how proud she is that they won the basketball scholarships last night. At lunch they had a whole party, someone used their speakers to blast music and the basketball team kept the celebration hype by dancing and just fooling around.

Things between Sevyn and Keenan have slowly gotten better. They're never going to be as close as they once were, but the fact that he can say hi to her in the morning and hold small conversations with her shows how much progressive they've made since last years mess. He's truly amazed at how much time and healing can benefit a person.

Monica wraps her arms around Kat's waist as she stands by the counter, pouring the coco powder into the two mugs. She decided to drop by Kat's house after school just to have some alone time with her. She rests her chin on her shoulder and leans her head against Kats. "If I died tomorrow, would you still love me?" Monica asks, her breath fanning across Kat's cheek.
