Darkness. That's what's surrounding Corey. It's dark and silent with no sources of light or sound anywhere. He wonders if this is what death is supposed to feel like. But how can he be dead if he's still thinking? Is he on his way to heaven's gates? No one told him the journey would be this long and eerie. Sometimes he can hear voices. Voices like Sevyn, Monica, Shaun and the twins. He can hear them talking but he isn't sure what they're saying. It's like he's at one end of a tunnel and their voices are bouncing off the walks traveling down to him. He can feel people touching him too. Holding his hand and stroking his face. So maybe he isn't dead, not yet anyway. He just wishes he could move. He feels like there are heavy weights holding his body down and preventing him from getting up. When he feels a soft hand in his, he tries to grasp it but he can't. It's like he's a new born baby that doesn't know how to work its body just yet. Its like being trapped in a tight box, you can plan your escape all you want but with the inability to move you won't get anywhere. Then that falling feeling takes over his body and he's locked into a deep sleep again fading into the depths of more darkness.

"So tell me what's really going on around here." Carson slides onto Sevyn's desk, flashing her pearly whites at her. Her blue eyes twinkle curiously as she grins.

"What are you talking about?" Sevyn asks while pulling her worksheet out from under Carson's butt.

"Don't play dumb Sev," Carson nudges her shoulder, "What really happened this weekend? Malcolm was in a car wreck, Corey is in a coma, what's going on?"

News of what happened on Saturday spread quickly. Students and teachers sent their condolences out to Malcolm who hobbles around on his crutches and alot of people have made "Pray 4 Corey" posters to hang up around the school. But no one knows exactly how he ended up in a coma or who did it.

"I don't know Carson." Sevyn says wearily. "I have nothing to say."

Carson rolls her eyes, "As usual. It's not surprising though, you've always been the type to play innocent anyway."

At this, Sevyn scrunches her face up. They're supposed to be working on a history packet that's going to be graded at the end if the day, but with their teacher absent from the room for the time being everyone seems to be socializing. "What do you mean I play innocent?"

"When shit goes down you never seem to know what's going on even when it involves you." Carson explains like the answer should be obvious.

"Oh yeah, like when?" She crosses her arms over her chest.

Carson taps her chin. "Like at Macy's party. After your little incident I was asking for the truth and you pretended like you didnt know anything."

"Because I was drugged and sexually abused. It's not exactly a conversation I wanted the whole school to hear about."

"But they did anyways. It was your fault, that problem could have been avoided if you werent dressed like a skank."

Sevyn's eyes bug out, "What I was wearing shouldn't have anything to do with what happened. It's not like you were dressed any better, if you bent over I'd probably see your underwear."

Carson arches her eyebrow, "Yet I'm not the one who got lured into a closet." She smirks deviously and slides off the desk.

"It's not like I purposely did it, and what I was wearing should have no influence on what happens to me. This is the reason I don't talk to you Carson, because you take people words and twist them around to start drama. Why can't you grow up?"

Before Carson can respond, the door swings open and everyone's eyes turn to see who just walked in. Janine stands there with her books in hand and her bag hanging from her shoulder. She looks fierce wearing purple pants, a dark grey sweater and a leather jacket. Her hair slicked back in a ponytail.
