~Two Years Ago~

You were seated at the edge of the bed, watching your husband, Michael, readjust his coat. He kept his eyes on you, making you blush slightly. Michael was your everything, and you loved him dearly. You played with your wedding ring aimlessly as he walked up to you, kissing you on the cheek.

Michael and you were getting ready to go for his rehearsals at the stadium where he was to perform the concert. The hotel room was cold, making you shiver slightly.

"What's wrong?" he asked, studying your features intently. "You look upset,"

You inhaled deeply, shaking your head. You were depressed, but you didn't want to say anything to your husband. You didn't want to complicate things. You suffered from a bunch of mental illnesses, but you still managed to pull through.

You were strong, but you didn't know how much longer you could carry on like this.

"I'm just tired," you lied. "That's all,"

"Are you sure?" Michael raised an eyebrow.

"Positive," you smiled.

With that, you stood up - wrapping your arms around his neck. Instinctively, he moved his hands to sit on your small waist.

"You're beautiful," he whispered. "And I can never get tired of telling you that,"

"Stop," you laughed. "You're making me blush," you remarked. Michael smirked a little, making you hit his chest playfully. "Now, let's go or we'll be late!"

Seated backstage, you watched as Michael rehearsed. He looked perfect, and you were smiling as you kept your eyes on him. Michael truly was a gift from the heavens above. Suddenly, you began to feel as if you couldn't breathe - a sensation that you had been feeling quite often ever since you had gotten married. Despite the fact that you had been married to this amazing man for four years, your depression had only gotten worse.

You brought your hands together, beginning to fiddle with your wedding ring - a habit of yours.

You sat there quietly before Frank, Michael's manager, approached you - sitting down next to you on the small bench.

"(Y/N)," he held his hand out for you to shake. You released your finger, taking his hand and shaking it. "It's nice to see you here," he smiled.

You began to fiddle with your wedding ring again, after you released Frank's hand.

"It's nice to be here," you breathed, trying your best to put on a fake smile.

"(Y/N)...is everything okay?" he questioned, making you frown. "Everyone has noticed that you're rather...troubled," he shook his head. "I'm here for you if you need anything,"

"Thanks, Frank," you sighed. "But...I'm fine," you lied.

It was easier to lie than to tell the truth, and you were exhausted. There was no way that you were going to explain your condition.

"I hope you are," he responded. "But..just know that...we're here for you if you ever need anything,"

After rehearsals, you and Michael had retired to the hotel room to rest. Several hours had passed rather quickly, and at present moment - Michael was getting ready for his performance.

He stared at himself in the reflection of the full length mirror, checking to see if everything was perfect. You were seated on the small sofa, curled up into a small ball - watching him.

Since you weren't feeling very well, you weren't going to attend this particular performance of his. You stared at your husband, smiling a little as he turned to face you.

"You look perfect," you grinned, making him break into a small laugh.

"I could never look as perfect as you," he raised an eyebrow, setting his hands on his hips. "You're stunning,"

"Ah, stop!" you laughed. "You always know what to say to make me blush!"

Michael laughed, opening his mouth to say something before he was interrupted by the sound of somebody knocking at the door. You giggled softly as he walked over to open it.

"Mike," you heard Frank's voice. "We gotta go now, the crowds are building up,"

"Okay," Michael nodded before turning his head to look at you. "I'll be back soon,"

He was just about to walk out before you called him, standing up.

"Michael..." you trailed off, making him frown slightly. "I...I love you," you breathed. "Never forget that,"

Michael stared at you, clearly a little shocked.

"Come on, Mike," Frank urged him.

"I love you too," Michael responded before walking out with Frank, being sure to shut the door behind him.

You walked out onto the balcony, peering over at the road below. You were done. Just done.

You didn't want to leave Michael, but you reckoned that he would be better off without you. Your eyes began to tear up as you thought about your husband. You loved him so much.

As the tears began to run down your face, you climbed up onto the ledge - feeling a little scared. You stared at the ground below - it was a sure shot that you would die.

Taking one last look at the hotel room, you turned around and jumped.
