~SET IN THE DANGEROUS ERA~
A request from AubreJackson

Aubre let out a sigh, running her hands over her navy blue dress. Michael, her husband of two years, was laying in bed - reading a book. It was five minutes past nine in the morning, and the young lady was getting ready to go to the clinic.
For the past year, her and her husband had been trying to have a baby. Michael adored children, and so did Aubre. Despite the fact that their marriage was wonderful, things did tend to get a bit lonely - and the sound of children seemed like a beautiful idea.
Aubre set her hands on her hips, staring at her husband. When Michael noticed this, he folded the corner of the page that he was reading - proceeding to close the book altogether. He placed on the bedside table before directing his full attention to you.
"You're staring at me," he remarked with a small smile.
"No shit," Aubre laughed. "You seem to be so engrossed in your novel. What's it about?"
"A lawyer, that goes to jail for a crime that he didn't commit," he responded before getting up from the bed, making his way over to his wife.
She smiled as he placed his hands on her waist, pulling her close to him. He kissed her forehead gently, making her blush. The two of them were so in love.
"You look beautiful," he breathed. "Are you sure that you don't want me to drive you to the clinic?" he raised an eyebrow.
"I'm sure," she grinned. "I can take care of myself. I'll tell you how it went when I get home," she bit her lip, walking over to her closet. She opened the doors, a fetched her handbag.
"Please take care," Michael spoke as she closed the closet doors.
"Relax," she chuckled, turning around to face him. "I'll be just fine,"

The vehicle came to a stop outside of the hospital, and Aubre let out a breath as she opened the door.
"Thanks, Bill," she said to the driver before getting out of the car. Once she had done so, she closed the door - proceeding to walk through the entrance doors.
The automatic doors seperated, letting the young lady pass through. She felt a rush of cold air over her head as she walked through, making her shiver slightly.
Her heels clicked against the tile floor as she made her way to the reception desk, where she was greeted by a pretty receptionist.
"Hello, ma'am," she receptionist smiled politely. "How may I help you?"
"Hi," Aubre responded. "I have...and appointment with Dr. Lincoln,"
"Ah," the receptionist nodded. "Just take a seat, and I'll inform Dr. Lincoln that you've arrived,"
"Thanks," Aubre mumbled, turning around to walk over to the row of chairs so that she could sit down.
She looked around the hospital, noting the beautiful structure of the building. The last time she had been to the facility, was two days ago - when Dr. Lincoln had taken her blood sample for testing.
Today, she would be informed of her results.
"Aubre?" a male voice made the young lady jump slightly. She looked up, and saw Dr. Lincoln standing before her.
"Hi," she smiled, standing up - readjusting her handbag over her shoulder.
"Please," he beckoned for Aubre to follow him. "Come with me,"
Dr. Lincoln led the girl into his office, proceeding to shut the door behind her. Clearing his throat, he walked over to his side of the desk - sitting down. Aubre did the same, across from him.
"Right," the doctor rested his hands on top of his patient's file. "I...have your results back," he stared at Aubre with swollen eyes. "And I'm afraid that it is bad news,"
Her heart sank.
"W-What...is it?"
"You're infertile," he sighed. "You're unable to have children,"
Aubre gasped, her eyes beginning to tear up. "You mean...ever?"
Dr. Lincoln nodded, feeling sorry for the young girl. She was so beautiful, and she didn't deserve to be upset.
"I'm so sorry," he shook his head. "I really am,"

After the visit to the clinic, Aubre had made her way straight back to Neverland. She was devastated, and her vision was blurry. Her legs were weak, and her hands were cold.
What is Michael going to think? Should I tell him?
As she walked through the front doors, she spotted her husband - seated in the living room, reading his novel. When he noticed her presence in the room, he made sure to mark his page before closing the book and leaving it on the sofa.
He stood up, and walked over to his lovely wife. As he got closer, he realized that she had been crying.
"Hey, what happened?" Michael furrowed his eyebrows. "Baby, why are you crying?"
"I....I...can't...have..." she trailed off. "I..won't be able to....ever have...children," she sniffed. "Michael...I can't give you children,"
Michael's eyes widened, and he was deeply upset. He studied his wife's features - not knowing what to say or do. The fact that Aubre couldn't bear children, didn't change the way he felt for his wife.
He adored her, and he was willing to work through this situation with her.
"Hey, hey," he wrapped his arms around her as she broke into uncontrollable sobs. "Everything will be fine. We'll get through this together,"
