"Ugh, but I don't wanna go!" Michael groaned as he fell back onto the bed that the two of you shared. You were standing several meters away from him, your arms folded. You laughed at the man that you had been married to for twenty five years. Despite the fact that the two of you had been together for so long - he never failed to amaze you.

Currently, the two of you were conversing about going to your eldest daughter's baby shower. You had three children: Jade, 23; Charlotte, 20; and Brandon, 19. Jade was married to a man named Kenneth, and he was ten years older than her. Charlotte and Brandon rented an apartment in the city - so they didn't live at Neverland with you and Michael.

You missed having your children around, but you also enjoyed having private time with your husband. After all, your children had been with you for the majority of your marriage to the man you loved.

It was time for your kids to discover the world on their own.

"It's Jade's day!" you laughed. "She wants us to be there!"

"But you know that I don't like Kenneth!" he exclaimed, sitting up again.

Michael had never liked Jade's husband, because he reckoned that Kenneth stole his daughter from him. It was quite funny.

"Kenneth isn't a bad man," you raised an eyebrow. "Give the man a chance, he loves our daughter!" you chuckled. "And Charlotte and Brandon are going to be there as well," you bit your lip. "If they can put their differences aside for their sister, then so can you,"

"But they don't have a problem with Kenneth," he huffed. "I do,"

"And you need to suck it up," you held your index finger out. "I'm giving you half an hour. If you aren't ready to leave by then, I'm not sleeping with you tonight," you spoke before making your way toward the bedroom door.

"This is bribery!" Michael groaned. "(Y/N), you're lucky that I love you!" he yelled as you opened the door, walking out before shutting it.

A laugh escaped your lips as one of the maids passed by. She seemed to have overheard Michael's behavior.

"Oh my," you covered your mouth and continued to laugh.

God, I love that man.

Sure enough, Michael had gotten ready in that half an hour that you had given him - and now the both of you were in the car, on your way to Jade's house. You were driving, and Michael was seated beside you - sulking like a little kid. The sight made you laughed as you took a turn.

"Michael," you giggled. "At least pretend like you're looking forward to being there,"

"I don't want to see Kenneth," he huffed. "He stole my daughter from me, and I will never forgive him," he narrowed his eyes.

Jade had always been Michael's favorite. Your favorite was Charlotte - but you made sure to love all of your children equally.

"Jade fell in love with Kenneth," you took another turn. "You need to accept that she's embarking on a new journey with this man," you stepped on the accelerator. "He didn't steal her from you,"
