~SET IN THE JACKSONS ERA~

NOTE: This imagine sucks, and for that - I am sorry.

~~~~~♡~~~~~
You sat up with a start, breathing heavily. You looked at the small alarm clock that sat on your bedside table, and noted that the time was four in the morning. Your heart was racing, and it took you a moment to realize that you were dreaming. Letting out a sigh, you ran your fingers through your hair.
You got up from the bed, and made your way into the kitchen. You lived alone in a small apartment, and it was times like this when you were grateful for that. Your odd sleeping patterns bothered nobody. The morning was warm, and you were sweating profusely.
Suddenly, the telephone, in the living room, rang loudly - making you jump slightly. You laughed to yourself and made your way over to the device - picking up the receiver.
"Hello?" you answered.
"(Y/N)!" your best friend, Luisa, chirped. "Oh my God...are you awake as well?!"
"Well, I am now," you smiled a little.
"Girl, I'm so excited for today!" she squealed.
What was the occasion, might you ask?
In a few hours, the two of you were to be attending an event where the Jackson brothers were to be performing. The event was to celebrate mental health awareness, and since you and Luisa were both medical students - you had been invited to speak.
Luisa was especially excited because she had had a huge crush on Jermaine Jackson, and she deseprately wanted to meet him. You, on the other hand, admired Michael Jackson. There was something about him that was so charming, and his smile always seemed so magical.
"Girl, I'm even more excited!" you exclaimed. "But at the same time, I'm nervous," you inhaled deeply. "I hope I don't screw up my speech," you bit your lip. "If that happens, just shoot me,"
Luisa giggled, making you do the same.
"I think I might go back to bed for a few hours," you groaned slightly. "I'm still tired,"
"Okay, sleep well! And I'll pick you up at eight because the event starts at nine," she spoke.
"Make sure you're here by eight, and not eight thirty," you laughed.
"Shut up, don't jinx it. I need traffic to flow for me to be there on time,"
"Relax, we'll make it either way," you chuckled. "Right, I'm going to get back to bed now,"
With that, you disconnected the call and stood up.
Time to rest, and then in three hours - get ready.
After managing to get at least two more hours of sleep, you were fully energized. The time was five to eight, and you were already ready. As you looked at yourself in the full length mirror, you smiled. You loved what you were wearing.
You wore a black coat over jeans, and you looked smart. Your hair was left to sit in soft curls, and you had on a shade of red lipstick that brought out your complexion splendidly.
You let out a sigh before walking to your bed to grab your bag. Once you had done this, you heard someone knocking at your door.
