~SET IN THE MATURE ERA~

You and Michael are married, and have been for the past fifteen years. You have two beautiful daughters - Pearl, twelve; and Jade ten.

You smiled, staring at your husband as he slept. A blush rose to your cheeks as you focused on the way that he was breathing - you loved him so much. You readjusted your cardigan, leaning back against the headboard of the bed before turning your head to look out of the beautifully designed window. The morning was cold and foggy, making you shiver slightly.

It was six in the morning, and you were wide awake. In two hours, you were to drop your kids at school.

"You're up," you heard Michael groan as he stirred. You turned your head back to look at him, widening your eyes slightly.

"Did I wake you?" you questioned as he sat up, rubbing his eyes.

"No," he chuckled a little. "I woke up on my own," he grinned, studying your features. "But why are you up so early?" he bit his lip. "And it's cold,"

"I'll be taking the kids to school in two hours," you got up from the bed, bringing yourself to your feet.

"I'll do it," he got up as well. "You need to rest, you look pale,"

"Ugh," you shook your head. "My sleep has been messed up, lately," you remarked.

"Which is why you need to rest," he grinned at you.

"I don't need to rest, I can barely fall off to sleep without medication," you sighed, folding your arms.

Michael walked up to you, setting his hands on your waist - and pulling you close to him.

"Even if you can't fall asleep, just lay down and rest," he kissed your forehead. "I don't want you to become ill,"

If you didn't get enough sleep, you would easily fall sick.

"I love you so much," you smiled at your husband. You adored him, and he adored you.

"I love you more," he raised an eyebrow. "No arguments,"

It had been two hours since Michael had left with the children, and you were home alone. You were laying in bed, reading a novel. It was raining outside, and it was very cold. You were underneath the comforter, a small smile on your face. You liked the feeling of being in bed when it was raining heavily outside.

As you continued to read, you suddenly heard someone knocking at the bedroom door. You frowned and looked up.

"Come in!" you spoke over the sound of the rain hitting the ground.

The door opened, revealing one of the maids - Rose. When you saw her, you smiled a little.

"Good morning," she spoke softly, walking into the room. "Mrs. Jackson, there's someone here to see you,"

"To see me?" you frowned further. You weren't expecting any guests.

"Well, she's here to see Mr. Jackson - but he isn't home yet," she bit her lip. "And the lady won't leave,"
