You finished folding up the last of your clothes before you heard someone knocking at the door. The evening was quiet, and the village seemed to be asleep. It was seven, and the skies were growing dark outside. Biting your lip, you stood up and walked towards the door - pulling it open.

Your eyes widened slightly when you saw Michael, standing before you. There was a guard next to him, and he was smartly dressed - the both of them were.

"May I come in?" Michael inquired softly.

"Sure," you stepped aside to let the man in. He walked in, and the guard stood outside. You stared at the guard before pushing the door shut. "Is he not coming in?"

"He'll stand outside, don't worry," Michael responded.

"Oh," you nodded, just standing there. "Uh...have a seat," you gestured toward the sofa before grabbing your pile of clothes. You flashed Michael a small smile before running into the bedroom, and dropping your clothes onto the bed. You walked out and pulled the door shut - running your hands over your dress and staring at the king.

Michael looked around the house, and he didn't seem impressed. After all, your house was small. You stood there, not saying anything.

"You have....quite a...cosy place," he remarked.

"It's small...but it's home," you said. "Uh...have a seat," you gestured to the small sofa.

"No, thank you," he stared at you. "I don't intend to stay for long," he cleared his throat. "Have you thought about my offer?"

Your face fell slightly, and your hands went cold. You bit your lip before nodding.

"Yes," you answered. "I have given it some thought..."

"And?"

"And....I..intend to...accept your offer," you completed. Michael's face lit up a bit, but not for long. He studied your features, and he looked quite happy.

His eyes sparkled momentarily before he shook his head slightly. He looked around the room before looking back at you.

"This means that you must move into the palace, as soon as possible," he said with a firm tone. "I would like for the wedding to take place next month," he continued. "But of course, the announcement must be made,"

"Yes," you sighed. You really didn't want to be the king's bride - but he had chosen you, and he hadn't given you much of a choice in the matter. You knew how cold he could be, and you didn't doubt that he could bring harm to Maria, and anybody else you loved.

"This evening, I want you to move into the palace," he breathed. "I will send down three servants to help you with your clothes, and once you have done so, you will be known as Lady (Y/N) until the marriage takes place," he spoke. "After which you will be known as Queen (Y/N),"

"Right," you nodded. You knew that you weren't ready for this, but you were going to do it anyway. You were going to be a completely different royal. "Tonight, then,"

Michael's eyes lingered on your form for a long moment before he walked toward the front door. He opened it and turned around to face you.

"The servants will be here in an hour. I shall return to the palace, and they should be on their way soon after," he said before leaving the house, taking the guard with him.

You stood at the doorway and watched as he disappeared before pushing the door closed. You closed your eyes and sighed.

"They're going to be here soon,"

An hour later, you had packed most of your things, and you were ready to leave for the palace. You were seated in your living room when you heard someone knocking at the door. Standing up, you walked to open it, revealing three men - dressed well. You recognized the man in front, and your eyes lit up.

"Noah," you grinned a little.

"Lady (Y/N)," he nodded. "We are here to take your things up to the palace," he smiled. "I hope you don't have toom many things," he teased.

You laughed a little and shook your head. "I only have one suitcase," you responded.

"Thank goodness," he breathed, making you laugh even more. He laughed as well before clearing his throat. "Well, Lady (Y/N), do tell me where your suitcase is, so that I can take it to the carriage,"

"Oh no, I can lift it myself," you waved him off.

"I insist," he chuckled. "The king will have my head if he finds out that I let Lady (Y/N) carry her own bag,"

"Oh," your face fell slightly, stepping aside. "My bag is there," you gestured to the suitcase located near the door. Noah walked in and carried it effortlessly before the other two men led you to the carriage. They opened the door, and helped you in before Noah placed the suitcase at your feet.

"Now, all that's left is to enjoy the ride," he laughed before closing the carriage door.

The three servants got onto their respective horses - leading the carriage away to the palace. You stared out of the window and sighed. How fast things had progressed.

One minute, you were a normal girl - enjoying life, and the next - you were a lady, about to be married to the king. You sighed and stared up at the stars, the night sky was beautiful.

The ride lasted for about thirty minutes before the carriage finally came to a stop. Gathered outside of the palace building, you could see a line of maids, and they all had small smiles on their faces. You waited for a moment before Noah opened the door for you, extending his hand so that he could help you out. You took his hand and stepped out of the carriage.

Once you had done so, he closed the carriage door before turning around to face you.

"Lady (Y/N)," he smiled. "Welcome to the palace,"
