"So Michael asked you out?!" your best friend, Luisa's voice squealed, making you jump slightly.
It had been several days since Michael had asked you to give him a chance, and tonight - you were going to have dinner with him. Nothing was official, but you were quite nervous - you weren't sure if you were making the right decision; especially after James.
"Yes," you sighed, glancing at your wrist watch, and noting that the time was five in the afternoon - Michael had said that he would pick you up at seven. "But I...I don't know if what I'm doing is right," you bit your lip. "I mean...it's all happening so quickly,"
"Girl, life is too short to wait around and think about things," Luisa laughed. "Michael is hot, and he likes you. Give the man a chance,"
"Ugh, I just don't want to be unfair to James. I feel so guilty," you groaned. "He probably hates me now,"
"Why are you worried about James? He literally slapped you that day," Luisa responded. "I haven't forgotten that," she added.
"But he had his reasons,"
"There is no valid reason for James to have put his hands on you. Slapping you was way out of line,"
You hummed in response, she did have a point.
"Now, you've got two hours to get ready before Michael shows up at your doorstep. Wear something fancy," you could already picture her, wiggling her eyebrows. "Ugh, I gotta go - someone's at the door. I'll call you later, and you can tell me how the date went," she spoke before disconnecting the call. A small smile formed on your face as you placed the telephone receiver down where it belonged.
You felt bad for moving on so quickly from James, but your only comfort was the fact that Michael had agreed to take things slow.
It'll be fine.
You stood up, and made your way to the closet - opening the doors wide. As you carefully scanned your collection of dresses, you chewed on your lip gently.
"What to wear..." you mumbled to yourself, continuing to look at your dresses. Eventually, you decided to wear a modest blue dress that ended at your knees. The neckline was elegant, and you nodded in satisfaction as you tossed the dress onto your bed.
"Well, time to get ready,"

At five minutes to seven, Michael had already arrived at your house. When he had seen you in your blue dress, his eyes had widened. He told you that he found you to be absolutely stunning. The man was a charmer, and he had a way with words. He was magic in its purest form.
He had taken you to a fancy restaurant, a place that looked incredibly expensive. The place was empty, and the two of you were the only ones there because he had hired the entire place.
You were quite shocked at first when you found out, but you gradually got used to the idea. After all, Michael was the King of Pop. He wasn't like everyone else.
Currently, the both of you were seated across from each other - smiling and conversing. The two of you had had a glass of wine each, and you were having a wonderful time.
"I...uh...have to admit," you broke into a small smile. Your food hadn't arrived yet, so the both of you were continuously sipping on red wine. "This is...really nice," you blushed slightly.
