5. Let You Go

Roni Quinn

"So what do you think?" I asked.

"I don't know. I mean it sounds like a good idea." Lottie said.

"You kidding? It sounds like a great idea." Roe said. "A sexy man asked you out on a date and you don't want to go."

"Well it's not really a date. He's just taking me out." I said.

Lottie and Roe looked at each other. "Bitch that's a fucking date." Roe said.

"Roni, tell us why you don't want to go on this date? Is this because of Dave?" Lottie asked.

I put my head down. "Maybe it is."
"I mean I still love him and the last thing I want to do is be without him. I don't know I guess I'm still holding on to the hope that maybe we'll get back together."

"Dave is out doing here what he does best and you gotta remember he fucked up things with you." Lottie said. "He didn't realize what he had til he lost it."

"She's right. Dave didn't give two shits about you or your feelings, he did what he thought was best for him and left you in the wind. Now here comes this guy who likes you and cares about you. You gotta do what's best for you." Roe said. "Now if you don't want to go out with that sexy piece of chocolate, just send his ass to me and I'll make him see God real quick."

Lottie and I laughed at Roe before changing the subject. But while we were talking, I couldn't help but think that maybe they were right. Dave and I have some history and I still love him and all, but I have a feeling that maybe it's time for me to move on. I can't wait for him forever.

Girls Need Love x Summer Walker was playing as I was trying to find an outfit for tonight. Dominic was coming over to pick me up in a few minutes and I was going through clothes like crazy. After awhile, I finally was able to find some clothes. I put on some high waisted jeans, a white off shoulder long sleeve, and a pair of vans. Once I was done, there was a knock at the door and I went to go answer it and Dominic was standing there.

"Hey." I said.

"Hello beautiful." Dominic smiled. "You ready to go?"

"Yea." I said.

Dominic and I left my house and got into his car. When we started driving, I looked over at Dominic who kept smiling from ear to ear. I was confused.

"Why are you smiling?" I asked.

"Because... I'm sitting in the car with the most beautiful girl I know and I'm taking her to one of my favorite places out here in Cali." Dominic said.

I blushed. "Thanks."

We continued to drive until we pulled up to a diner. Dominic got out of the car and I stayed because I knew what this diner was. It was the place Dave took me on our first date. It was place where I knew I was in love with him.

"You coming?" Dominic asked.

"Um..." I said.

"You ok?" Dominic asked.

"Yea I'm fine." I lied.

Dominic grabbed my hand and dragged me into the diner. As we were walking, I couldn't help but think about Dave and I 's first date. I couldn't help but think how open he was to me and quickly we connected.
