“Are you afraid of me?” Holton asked.

“Well...” Haruki looked away, thinking of proper words to say.

“Not really. But sometimes, I get scared whenever you’re mad.” She answered.

“That’s a relief.”

“Besides, why would I be mad?”

‘Because I’ve bitten you before...’ he thought.

“What did you say? I can’t read your thoughts clearly.”

“It’s nothing.” He said, looking away.

He doesn’t want to spoil the moment. Knowing that she’s not mad anymore is enough. He liked it when they’re not fighting. He even wanted their relationship to grow deeper. His hunger for her is as deep as that night she met him.

“Holton!” she called.

“Yes?”

“Let’s sit down back to back.”

“Okay.”

“What’s with that big smile?” she asked innocently.

“Nothing.”

“Nothing again?! Can’t you tell it to me this time?” she plead.

“Well...”

“Hm?”

“I was just surprised...”

“About?”

“The way you called me awhile ago.”

“Oh...”

“It’s the first time you called me by my name. Remember, you usually call me by ‘you,’ ‘pervert,’ and ‘beast.”

She smirked. “Sorry about that.”

“No, it’s fine with me. I really am a beast whenever I can’t control myself.”

“And the other nick name?” She raised an eyebrow.

“Well... Yeah, yeah... I’m kinda pervert sometimes...” Holton held his handsup, surrendering.

“Hahaha!!! It’s obvious!” she teased.

“Sometimes but not as always.”

“Fine. Whatever you say... Hmm...”

“What is it?”

“I never knew that your body’s soft. You’re like a giant pillow. I feel like hugging you.” She closed her eyes and leaned her body to his back.

“You can hug e if you want to.”

“Nah... You’re a pervert, right?”

“Oh please... If I’m a pervert then you’re a jerk.”

“What?!”

“You already know that I’m a pervert yet you’re still sticking to me.”

“As if i have a choice...”

‘As if i have a choice...’ he recalled. He frowned again and the spark in his eyes disappeared. ‘Yeah. You don’t have a choice. I’m too selfish.’ “Sorry.” He muttered.

“Eh?”

“Sorry...” he repeated.

“Why are you saying ‘sorry’ all of a sudden?” she was confused.

“Nothing, just forget what I said.”

‘You’re keeping a secret to me again.’ she thought.

‘Sorry. It’s just that there are things that shouldn’t be mentioned.’ He answered back but he closed his mind for her not to read his thoughts.

They closed their minds and remained silent for a long moment. They have no idea how long they had been like that. The whole place is so peaceful. Not a single scratch could be heard. But they are contented with that deafening silence. They are contented of sensing each other’s move, hearing each other’s breathing and feeling each other’s hearts beating.

‘It’s weird. I don’t know much about him. He’s a complete stranger yet it seemed like I met him a long time ago.’ she thought.

‘What happened to me? I feel so attached to her the first night I met her...’ he thought.

The two closed their eyes and breathed in some fresh air.
