“I’M sleepy. Let’s go back inside.” He said but there’s no response. He turn around only to catch the sleeping Haruki on his lap. He smiled as he removed the strands of hair covering her face. ‘She sleeps like a baby.’ he thought.
His gaze from her face turned to her neck. She’s beautiful and her scent is intoxicating. She smelled like a rose in full bloom. Her scent was driving him crazy, drawing him closer and closer.
His throat was starting to get dry and his heart was thumping as if he just run a mile. It’s getting harder and harder for him to breathe as seconds pass by. He was gasping for air but this worsens the dryness of his throat. It seemed like there’s a blower in it.
His eyes felt like burning. It’s like there’s a tiny flame in each of his eye. He could hear the beating of her heart and the blood rushing through her veins. He opened his mouth and revealed his two canine teeth longer than a mere human’s. He was about to bite her when someone snatched her away from him.
He growled and lifted his head up to see the face of the intruder.
‘Don’t commit that sin again! You know that it’s a taboo.’ It was Lydia. She just came in time, enough to stop her master. ‘I have no idea what will happen if the whole village smelled a human blood.’ She warned.
He gave her a deadly glare. But he just realized that she’s right. Her words struck him like a sharp knife. He had been warned before yet he still violated their law. He was just lucky for the council didn’t know about the crime he committed.
“I’ll just get some fresh air.” He said and jumped into the woods.
Lydia bowed her head and stared at the dark forest with lonely eyes. ‘You must learn how to control your thirst, master.’ She thought. Seconds later, she carried Haruki in her arms. Because of her small stature, she find it difficult to carry her other master.
Honestly, people were too imaginative upon describing their race. They have no superpowers. They’re not as strong as other’s thought. They’re neither fast nor intelligent than a HUMAN. They’re just the same with a mere HUMAN. They move and live like a HUMAN.
HE was in the dark and silence deafening forest. Wild animals might come out, but he didn’t care. He even had bruises from his high jump. He was just lucky to be caught by trees and not by stones!
‘I have to calm down. I don’t want to lose control again!’ Holton yelled himself. He didn’t want to cure himself. He wanted to satisfy his thirst first.
Seconds later, he saw a dog strolling around. It seemed that it lost its way. He rushed to it.
Moments later, he was already gripping the dog’s neck. He had no idea how he did it. It’s just that he realized all of a sudden that the dog was already under his control.
