Just A Victim Part 15

"HELLO?" he asked. He waited for a few seconds but he heard no response. "Hello?" he asked again but still, he heard nothing. Sheesh. Why do people make prank calls at a time like this?! He immediately ended up the call and sighed.

He then felt some sort of weird feeling. At his peripheral vision, he could see that someone's watching him. He looked at his right side. He blinked and even scratched his eyes to realize that he's neither dreaming nor hallucinating.

She was standing few meters away, looking at him with sadness in her eyes. She's wearing same clothes she wore the last night they met.

"Haruki?"

She was surprised when he called her. "You can see me?!" she happily asked.

"Ofcourse!"

She squeal as she clap her hands and almost jump for joy. Then she chuckled, lighting up her face.

He smiled. He missed that voice of hers. It really is music to his ears. "What happened to you?" he asked as he approached her. He held out a hand to tap her shoulder. To his surprise, that hand of his penetrated through her body. He tried to touch her again. But his hand pass through her body just like what happened a while ago. His eyebrows almost met as he examined her with a look from head to toe. "W-wa... Wh-wha..." he stammered.

"What 'wa'?" she asked. Her face was like 'are you still sane?'

"Why? Wh-what happened?" he asked, referring to her body.

"Okay. It's jard to believe but will you listen to me first?" she asked.

"But I am listening to you."

"I mean, let me finish what I'm saying before you react."

He can't understand what she's talking about but he agreed. "Okay, okay." He said then sighed.

"It was the last school day before our semestral break. I was heading home when someone grabbed me and tell me that he's a vampire. I didn't believe him, of course! But he bit me and almost drank all the blood inside me that I ran out of consciousness. Then the next day, I just had a nightmare and that vampire was there. Also, that was the last time that we met. When I came back home that night, someone entered my room. I have no idea who that was. In addition, I don't know what happened to me or where did I go between the days that I lost my sense. I don't know but it's like my soul wandered for days, unconscious. When I regained my consciousness, I discovered that I was in a certain province. I don't know the name. I just followed the buses and different means of transportation until I get here." she said, not even pausing for a while to catch her breath.

He blinked for a few times, absorbing the information. "So, when did you get here?" was the first question he thought.

"Just a few hours ago. You've got a strong paranormal detector on your body, huh? I never knew you could detect me that easily." she smiled and even clapped, impressed with what he did.

"Are you the one who did the prank call?"

She shyly scratched the back of her head. "Hehe... Yeah. I used someone's body to call you then I immediately came up here. Oh! By the way, I can float and fly!" she beamed.

"Haruki, are you tricking me again? Tell me where you really are hiding." His words surprised her.
