“I’M home.” Haruki said as she enter the house.
“You came just in time. Dinner’s ready!” her mother chimed.
“Mom, you seemed so happy.” she observed as she put down her stuff.
“Well, it’s because we accomplished our mission!” Her mother beamed.
Her brows almost met. “Mission?”
“Yes, the model.” she reminded.
“Oh, right.” she nodded. She almost forgot that. “If she only knew, there are so many things that happened while she’s away,” she thought.
“Do you have anything to do this weekend?”
“Uhm. Nothing. Why?”
“Come with me at the office. I’ll introduce you to the model I’m talking about.”
“Don’t bother. I’ll just hang out with Kazune.”
“I know. Both of you will come. Her mother’s also working there, remember?”
She rolled her eyeballs. “Fine.”
“Good. Now, eat your food.”

“Haruki, are you ready?” her mom asked from downstairs.
“Yes, mom.” she said. She glanced at the mirror once more. She’s wearing a blue dress and brown knee high boots.
“Haruki?” her mom called.
“Yes, I’m coming!” She dashed out of the room and climbed down stairs.

“Haruki?” Kazune called.
“Yes, I’m coming.” she immediately responded. She heard him chuckle. “What?” she asked, kind of pissed.
“I’m asking if you want to drink something.” He repeated his question, smiling.
She blinked and realized that they’re standing in front of a vendo machine. She gulped from shame. “Yeah, sure.”
“Coffee?” he asked as he enter a bill into the machine.
“Yup.”
“You’re not yourself today.” he uttered as he pressed the button for brown coffee.
She sighed. “I guess so.”
“What’s bothering you?” he asked without even looking at her.
“Nothing.”
Suddenly, he stiffened. “It’s him, right?” he blandly said.
“Huh? No!” She averted then gulped.
“Whatever you say.” He gave her her coffee.
“I just feel uneasy today and I don’t know why.” she sincerely told him as she reached for her drink.
Suddenly, he calmed down. “Don’t bother to think about it. Everything’s gonna be alright. Come on.” he said as he reached for her hand. They walked back to where their parents were.
“Oh, they’re back!” her mother said.
“Haruki and Kazune, I would like you to meet Mr. Vanderthan! He’s the famous model I’m talking about.” she introduced.
“Hi!” Both of them greeted the ash blonde guy standing in front of them.
“Mr. Vanderthan, meet Kazune, my best friend’s son, and my daughter, Haruki.”
“Nice to meet you Kazune.” he said and did a hand shake with Kazune.
“Same here, Mr. Vanderthan.”
“As well as to this beautiful lady in front of me.” He reached for her hand and planted a kiss on it. The jade met the hazel.
“Oh, thanks for the compliment, mister.” He smiled and squeezed her hand before he let it go. It made her eyebrows met.
“Why don’t we sit down and talk for a while?” the blonde suggested and so they followed.
Haruki wasn’t able to focus on whatever they’re talking about. She was just focused on the blonde guy in front of him. He seemed so familiar though that was just the first time they met. She kept on wondering where she met him and whether they already met in the past or not.
That was what’s on her mind until the time they arrived home. Somehow, she wasn’t able to think about Holton that day.
