Title: Soft Spot

Ship: Hyunin

Hwang Hyunjin was your typical bad boy at JYP High school.

Piercings on his tongue, nose, and ears. A few small tattoos. Dark clothing. Stocked on spray paint. Bruises and cuts littered his face and body from fights he's gotten himself into. Hyunjin was no different than any other bad boy you have seen.

At least, that was what the school thought until the new kid showed up.

He was the same year as Hyunjin and everyone thought 'oh, Hyunjin is definitely going to hate him'.

The kid was named Yang Jeongin and he was the definition of baby boy culture.

He wore sweaters that were two sizes too big. Pink, blue, red, all with a different fruit on it. He wore one quite often that was a yellow color and it fit him well. He mostly wore jeans that were light colored. His hair was straight and too long, hanging over his eyes. His shoes were usually white.

But his personality just matched his appearance.

He was a bubbly boy. Smiling seemed to be his favorite thing and people had come to realize he was definitely immature, in a good though. He understood the bad things in life such as disease. But dirty jokes, and cursing, it was like it did not exist to him. Gibberish almost.

When the two first met, nothing was pretty.

Jeongin was skipping down the hall next his friend but was going a little fast. Giggling at his slower friend, he turned around to look at him. He then ran straight into Hyunjin.

The older was holding a bottle of water and was drinking out of it. It was now dumped on him and he did not look at happy.

"I-I'm so sorry." Jeongin bowed. When he came back up, he flinched away at the glare given to him by the taller. "I should have been watching where I was going." Jeongin mumbled to himself.

Hyunjin launched forward but did nothing to hurt the boy. Jeongin flinched harshly, at the verge of tears at this point.

Hyunjin turned and left, leaving many people confused. Why wasn't Jeongin hurt at all?

His friend, Jisung, pulled him into a hug. He could not have stood up for Jeongin as he would have been ripped to shreds by Hyunjin.

A few weeks later, and Jeongin found himself alone at the back of the school with him.

Jeongin was sitting, playing with a stick and rock. He used the stick to roll the rock around.

Someone slid down the wall about two feet away from him. He looked over to see Hyunjin lighting a cigarette.

"Those aren't good for you." Jeongin stated quietly. Though, it was still loud enough for Hyunjin to hear.

Hyunjin glanced over as he took a huff. "I'm aware, Yang."

"Then why do you do it?" Jeongin asked, this time a little more louder.

Hyunjin took another huff. "It lets out stress."

"From what?" Jeongin asked cautiously.

"Things at home. My parents aren't the best, you know." Hyunjin said before taking another huff.

"Oh. I'm sorry."

"Why am I even telling you this?" Hyunjin asked coldly.

"Sometimes it's better to tell people." Jeongin said, turning his body towards Hyunjin so he could lean his body on the wall.
