When Hunter was poisoned, I remember B.B staying behind at Le Café to guard it. But I don’t know what that means. What does he have to guard? I ponder this for a little while. I remember how hard it was to get him to tell us about why he mutated us in the first place. I wonder if he’s hiding even more than we think. I decide maybe we can find out ourselves. After all, I know Mute and Rose are pretty smart and Hunter, Krys and Jenny are pretty sneaky. If he is  hiding something we can easily find out what that may be. More plans to mutate random people? More secrets about Rob and Scotch? Maybe he does know where they are and he won’t tell us. Ideas whirl around in my mind like debris in a tornado. Maybe he does more than just play Flappy Bird in his free time.

At Le Café, I recruit Rose and Mute. “What do you care about B.B’s computer?” Rose asks suspiciously. “I think he’s hiding something.” I explain. “What do you think he’s hiding?” Mute asks. I shrug. “It’s just . . . he didn’t come with us to Hunter’s house even though we really could’ve used his help.” I point out. “Well maybe he didn’t want Nick, Joe and Matt to attack.” Mute reasons. “But if they did, what would they find. As far as I’m concerned there are no secrets about Super Six they don’t know.” I insist. “Well maybe he just didn’t want customers coming in while he was out.” Rose suggests. I don’t see why they keep trying to justify this. “Well then wouldn’t he have just closed for a little while. And besides, it’s not like he’d serve to customers.” I can’t imagine B.B putting on a neon Le Café shirt and waiting tables. “I guess so. But what do you intend to do? Hack into his computer?” Mute asks. I grin. “That’s where you two come in.”

Once Rose and Mute agree to help me, I talk to Hunter, Krys and Jenny. I tell them my theory. They agree to help me and the next day we carry out our plan. Jenny goes into the girls’ room and climbs into the air ducts. She is the smallest after all. She sneaks through the vents and watches B.B through the vent in the back room. She waits until he leaves and then she quickly sends a message to Hunter. Krys and Hunter follow B.B to see where he goes. He walks into the boys’ room. Krys quickly grabs a neon colored chair and shoves it under the door knob. Rose, Mute and I run into his office. I put my laptop up on his desk. I see a game of Flappy Birds taking up the screen. I take Mute’s USB cord and transfer all B.B’s files into my laptop. I hear him banging on the bathroom door and I know our time is almost up. I grab my laptop and the three of us run out of the room all squeezing through the narrow doorway at once.

Krys quickly moves to the chair and pushes it away with her foot. The door swings open almost knocking Hunter and Krys off their feet. “Are you okay?” I ask trying not to smile. “Yeah the door must’ve just gotten stuck.” B.B observes. “Where’s Jenny?” he asks looking at us. We all exchange nervous glances. “I dunno. Last I saw her she was in the girls’ room.” Rose informs him. Krys scowls at her. B.B narrows his eyes. “She’s been in there for a while.” He remarks suspiciously. “Well you know . . . girls and . . .” Mute mumbles. We all turn and look at him. His face gets a little red. Before we can question him the bathroom door swings open and Jenny walks out followed by Drew. I bite my lip to stop myself from laughing. “What were you two doing in there?” B.B asks shocked. “Good question.” Drew responds smiling, winking and walking off with Jenny.

We are all eager to see what information we have but we wait until the next day to look at my computer. All of Super Six meets at the library after school where I plug in my laptop and use the school’s Wi-Fi. Looking through B.B’s files takes longer than we expect. There’s a lot of coded information we can’t understand. Random letters and numbers. I see a file entitled Super Six Members and I open it. A picture of all of us comes up on the screen. I scroll down and I see a paragraph dated to be created several months ago. I read it.
