It's hard to act like I don't think about you sometimes.

Jack and Zach had been best friends for as long as they could remeber. Both of them always hung out and did everything together ever since they were kids.

As they went into high school, Zach realised his true feelings for Jack. He didn't just love him as a best friend or a brother, he loved him more then that and it was hard to put on an act every day to hide his feelings for the curly haired boy.

It was my birthday, right at the end of the night

It was that first time, she hurt you bad and you cried

After Jack's 16th birthday party, he had come running to zach. Reason being, Jack's girlfriend at the time said something she shouldn't have.

It broke the older boy, all he wanted was to cry. Cry into Zach's shoulder because the younger of the two knew everything. Cry because he knew he couldn't hold it together himself. He needed someone and that someone was Zach.

Jack had an awful on again, off again, relationship with gabbie (his girlfriend). No matter what she did, Jack kept running back.

Zach had made a promise to himself throughout this whole situation, don't break his and Jack's friendship and stay out of Jack and gabbies relationship. But he couldn't.

"She's horrible!" Zach shouted.

"No, shes not! What the fuck are you talking about? What has she ever done to you?!" Jack exclaimed

"It's not what's she's done to me, it's was she's doing to you!" The shorter yelled again

"WHY ARE YOU SO MAD IN THE FIRST PLACE IT'S NOT LIKE YOU'RE MADLY IN LOVE ME?!"

Zach froze. He in fact was in love with Jack. How did he know?

You block her number, and then you call me instead

You give her distance, and then you sleep in my bed

You say you miss her, and you go crawlin' back

It was again the time when Jack and gabbie were in a fight, this time worse then any other. It had gotten to the point where they blocked each other on everything. Jack had no one, no one except Zach. He called his best friend instead.

Jack tried to be distant with gabbie but ended up in the comfort of zachs bed. The elder couldn't help but miss his "girlfriend" he eventually went back to ber again. The process repeating way too many times.

Zach kept telling himself to keep his promise but nothing worked. He couldn't help but fall for Jack over and over, everytime he saw him.

It was too hard to keep their friendship strong. It would have to be left in the past sooner or later. Zach chose to end it sooner.

"I can't do this anymore" Zach stated

"What do you mean" the other questioned

"This- our friendship or whatever it is now."

"What's wrong?" Jack was worried. He didn't know why Zach was acting like this, everything was fine between them too, right?

"You really can't see that I love you way more then I should?!" Zach raised his voice slightly

"Becasue so help me Jack avery I am so gad damn I'm love with you that it hurts!"

"I-i didn't- i- you-" Jack was too taken aback to speak

"It's fine, just go to gabbie, she's way better then anything I could ever be."
