he always appeared to be a grumpy man, the type to never laugh at a joke nor crack a hint of a smile. the boy wasn't the bubbly type that you would expect to resemble the brightness of the sun or even a single ray of light; oftentimes shutting himself out from the world, rather than being seen walking on the face of it. a very quiet, yet oddly mysterious being that took into the form of the one and only, jeon jeongguk.

but he was never like that to begin with.

this man wasn't always all glum and puzzling as you would perceive him to be. he was quite the opposite.

'was', that is.

you could say he was like the brightest star in the universe, a bright light that outshined any other in the night sky, twinkling as far as the eye can see.

he was like a lily, white and pure, sitting in his own garden. even if he were in a pen of roses, this lily still stood tall.

but one storm was all it took to shatter this poor boy. the loud clasps of thunder that shook him turned his world upside down in a blink of an eye.

this once twinkling star didn't shine so bright anymore, instead it was lost somewhere in the depths of the galaxy.

this happy lily's garden wilted, leaving it lifeless and dull. with no other flower in the pen to turn to, his white petals slowly shriveled and his healthy green stems became soft.

he slowly withered with them.
