"jeongguk-ssi!" the girl impatiently waits by the familiar oak door, striking a few knocks with haste. it looked like she was ready to head out in the quaint town. she held her leather notebook tightly in her grasp, and adorned the same double braids, this time wearing a snug coat that matched with the winter trees.

the door swings open showing the boy with tousled raven hair, it seemed he had just woken up. his gaze falls upon the girl by his door, he looked at her with hooded eyes and an unamused expression. "nari it's six in the morning." he says, clearly mirthless.

the stars were still awake, waving to the moon before the sun came out. the expanse of the night sky was as  dark as the circles under the boy's eyes that wailed in exhaustion. the liveliness of the quaint town seemed to be at rest as no one was awake, just them.

"grab your coat, let's go to the garden." unfazed by the boy's lack of amusement, she jumps with excitement, her pair of braids jumping along as well. "but.. why this early?" his low voice turns into a high-pitched whine, flailing his arms like a kid in frustration.

"i woke up and i can't go back to sleep now i'm bored." she pouts, "can you come with me to the garden?" with her hands clasped together, she pleads with gleaming eyes. "it's so early, nari please."  he asks, not even looking at her because at this point, he can't even open his eyes.

"you know i won't leave until you grab your coat." she sternly says, arms crossed. all jeongguk could do was sigh, because he knew that the girl would actually do that.

"i'll see you outside in five!" she exclaims with a blossomed smile, waving her hand around as she skips away.
