갑자기
on that fine morning, nature seemed to have liven as the wind had sang beautiful melodies and the trees gracefully swung to the rhythm of their song. the birds and cicadas were keen to join as they hummed and chirred to the clear sky.
a few suns have passed and the two haven't seen each other since. neither knew what to feel after the conversation from café camellia. despite distance, the tension certainly remained.
jeongguk came strong to set the records straight and draw the line. after all, what was the point in blossoming a friendship that was bound to wilt anyway? if he were to leave soon, wouldn't this all be pointless?
however the girl's heartfelt response was enough to question his thoughts. something about her honey gaze had an effect on him and he refuses to know why.
with a bouquet of hand-picked hydrangeas in hand, nari walks towards the familiar oak door across her. the steady beating of her heart races, beating with every step she took. she stares at the boy's door with a nervous gaze.
with a trembling hand, her fist slowly rises up to the door. this would be the first time they would see each other again and somehow she felt nervous. gathering all the courage she had mustered, she strikes three knocks.

"jeongguk-ssi?" she softly strikes the door once more, this time calling his name.
silence
before she knew it, the unsettling pit in her chest started to settle again, which was odd. as cheerful like all the flowers and fluttering butterflies nari was, sudden anxious feelings like these were new to her yet now it had become more frequent.
she calls out once more, this time knocking on the boy's door harder. "jeongguk-ssi!" nothing but silence hits her.
the disturbed feeling in her chest didn't die down but worsened. the thought that something was wrong troubled her mind and it shakes her.
she places her ear by his door. it was difficult to hear anything despite the thin walls that encased them. she was growing frustrated at the continuous dead air that stuck by her. yet as she was about to leave that's when she heard it.
a faint sound of soft whimpers
she hears the boy's weak cries and her heart sinks. instinctively, she runs to the front desk. at this point she wasn't thinking anymore. she had no clue what was wrong but what she did know was she just wanted to be there for jeongguk.
she spots the spare key for room 004 on her aunt's desk and without hesitation snatches it. the girl bolts back to his room, her heart racing at a speed unimaginable.
the door swings open and there he was, a red-faced boy crumbling on the cold floor. shivering, eyes puffy, and face stained in numerous traces of tears. his sorrowful gaze locks with her worried ones. he looks at her with his eyes glazed in his cries,
