jeongguk, being unfamiliar with the area, found it more than difficult to look for this supposed 'magical' garden as his therapist always called it. he's been going the opposite directions, getting wrong turns, it was such an inconvenience for him. it was like he drove into a knot, twisted and difficult to get through.

he kept hitting the wheel out of annoyance, growing impatient. he knew he couldn't just stop and ask someone for help either as there was nothing in sight beside the roads that seemed to be never ending. this bubble of burning frustration he had was growing bigger and sooner or later it's gonna pop.

after much time and irritation spent into looking for this butterfly garden of his, he came to an abrupt stop.

'기적 식물원' a wooden signage was engraved in big letters. the sign seemed quite aged and there wasn't much people in the vicinity.

'am I in the right place?' he quietly mutters to himself as he finally steps out of his rented vehicle. for a while, he was unsure of what he was seeing. for all he knew, he was visiting a garden, yet besides the big wooden sign, all he saw was a tall yellow gate accommodated by the bricked walls that surrounded the block of land.

he feels something feather like tickle his nose. to his surprise it was a butterfly. with bright blue wings that faded into black "at lease you'll keep me company.'' he says to the butterfly and it flies away, making him scoff.

he fishes into his back pockets, pulling out the small piece of paper which he had written the address on.

the paper was all crumpled and the inked writing was starting to fade but it was still coherent to the eye. as he double checks the address, he was certain he was at the right place.

and so he carefully steps towards the tall gates as he enters the garden. unenthusiasm sprawled across his face as he steps foot into the entrance. not an inch of his body wanted be there at that very moment. he seemed nonchalant about the whole situation, feeling as if he was mustering all his courage to force himself to go inside.

but at the same time, a small part of him felt frightened. scared of the possibility that he won't end up getting what he came here for.

what if he's going through all this fuss for nothing? what if he couldn't get the old jeongguk back? what if he can't even retrieve a even sprinkle of glee for himself? numerous questions boggled his mind and the just thought of it made his palms sweat.

he hopes for the best out of this trip, but still, only time will tell the true faith that he would soon have.
