Chapter 25

"That's actually stupid." Romeo says, not impressed. I roll over on my bed and kick my legs up.
"I know! It's so dumb!" I say, thankful that he understands. It was Saturday, and I was explaining what happened in Art between Garroth, Laurence and myself, as well as the werewolves.

We were both laying on my bed, with him listening to my dramas. He sits, up cross legged.
"Girl, stand up for yourself. You're also allowed to have friends y'know?" He says sternly.
"I know... I just can't believe them." I hear my phone buzz beside me. I pick it up and see that's it's Blaze. I turn to Romeo and sit up. He puts his hand on my shoulder as I read his message.

Texting: Blaze, You

B- Hey Y/N!
Y- Hi!
B- I was wondering if you wanted to come with me, Rylan and Daniel to the mall.
I put down my phone and turn to Romeo. He nods.
"Only if I can come." He says. I shrug.
Y- Sounds fun. Could I bring a friend?
B- Of course. See you at 1.
Y- See you then!

I check the time and turn my phone off. 12:02. I drop it and pause.
"I better get dressed then huh?" I smirk at what he was wearing. Tom and Jerry PJs. I was also in my super awesome oversized Deadpool shirt and PJ pants. I nod.
"Yeah, I better too." I bounce off my bed and walk over to my closet. I hear the door open and close while picking out an outfit. Romeo just grabbed whatever and walked out to the bathroom I guess.

I walk out my room, feeling proud about what I picked. I wore a grey fade shirt under my F/C varsity with F/C short shorts. I dash downstairs to put on my black and white vans. I spot Romeo appear just as I'm finished lacing up my shoes. He wore a grey plaid shirt with grey camo shorts and his gold basketball shoes.

I stand up and grin.
"I really love your sense of fashion." I say, admiring his choices. He spins and does an imaginary curtsy.
"It's only natural baby." He says, strutting off towards the door. I snicker.
"Your forgetting your money." I chuckle. He stops and spins around, bounding back up the stairs.
"I knew that!" He shouts.

I check my phone. 12:45. I click back the case to reveal $100. Super handy. I hear Romeo bound back down the stairs, grasping $50. He shoves it in his pocket before giving a thumbs up.
"Now I'm ready!" We walk out the door. He goes to grab his skateboard when I stop him.
"We'll have to walk. We can't lug around our boards all day." I say. He raises and eyebrow.
"We've done it before." He states. "But I guess, since they don't know what hip kids we are." I shake my head, laughing, and start walking towards the mall, with Romeo beside me.

We get there and stare at the expanse of the place. People really like to come here on Saturdays apparently... We search for awhile until we see Blaze, Rylan and Daniel. Blaze is the first to see me. He turns towards me and waves. I wave back and we walk over. He eyes Romeo before extending his hand.
"I'm Blaze, and this is Rylan and Daniel." He greets. Romeo shakes his hands and nods.
"Nice to meet you all, I'm Romeo." Rylan gives him a look.
"That's... a really cool name." He says, appreciatively. Romeo chuckles.
"Thanks! It's not my real name, just a nickname." He explains. "My real name is Ramirez. Y/N just gave me that name because it's easier." I beam at the mention of my creation. They nod.

"Where's Dottie?" I ask. Daniel shrugs.
"She couldn't make it, something about a family thing." I nod. I can understand. I look around at all the shops and people.
"Let's look around! This place looks awesome!" I say, throwing my hands up and walking in a random direction. The others follow as I walk around aimlessly.

We had bought quite a lot of stuff. Romeo had a bag with a hoodie, a new shirt and glasses. Blaze didn't buy anything yet, but insisted on carrying my bag. Inside of mine, I had a F/C jacket, and a shirt that matched Romeo's, they were just a different color. His being yellow and mine being F/C. Daniel had bought a green plaid hoodie and Rylan was saving his for food.

"Anyone hungry?" Romeo asks, pointing to a little restaurant. We all nod and walk up to the menu printed on the counter. We all point at what we want and Daniel and I go up and order. We wait in line for a few minutes before we get to order.
"Alright! Okay, I'll get a- wait? Laurence? You work here?" I cut myself off when I notice that Laurence was behind the counter in a uniform. He seemed just as taken aback.
"Wow. Y/N. I wasn't expecting you to be here." He smirks, glancing at Daniel.
"Same!"

I turn around to see the kind of long queue. I turn back to face him and half smile.
"Better to not make these people wait. Can I please get two tacos, a chicken burger, a steak burger, a, uh, large fries and a corn dog? Oh! And two cokes and two lemonades." I say, struggling to recall what the order was. He nods and taps a screen.
"Your total is $42.50." He says. I hand him our combined money.
"It won't be long." He says, putting the money in the register. I put the change in my pocket and step out of line with Daniel.
"Thanks!" I wave. We walk back to our table and sit down.

"Is that Laurence?" Romeo whispers. I nod.
"Yup. I never knew he had a job." I say. He nods and stands up, along with Blaze. They both walk up and take our order. It smells so good when Romeo places it on the table. Blaze hands out our drinks and we dig in. Romeo chops into a taco, while Rylan eats his chicken burger and Blaze eats his steak one. I unwrap and chop down on my corn dog.
