"That was awesome! Good job guys!" I say, clapping proudly. They all smile at my enthusiasm.
"How about you sing a song Y/N?" Laurence suggests. I feel myself blush..
"You know I'm not that good at singing." I say, shrugging the question off. They all frown.
"Y/N your great at singing. We have heard you before." Garroth says encouragingly. I smile brightly at the comment.

"Fine. Any suggestions?" I ask. I see Nathan smirk.
"How about I Do Adore? I know you like it." He says, wiggling his eyebrows. I frown at the mention of the song. It was true I loved it, but singing it's another story.
"Fine." I say after a long pause.

I look up the chords on my phone and study them quickly, feeling the gazes of everyone in the room focused on me. I run upstairs and grab my F/C ukulele. I skip down the stairs and sit back on the armchair. I ready my fingers and take a deep breathe.

Lyrics:

Everything you do it sends me
Higher than the moon with every
Twinkle in your eye
You strike a match that lights my heart on fire

When you're near, I hide my blushing face
And trip on my shoelaces
Grace just isn't my forte
But it brings me to my knees when you say

Hello, how are you, my darling today?
I fall into a pile on the floor
Puppy love is hard to ignore
When every little thing you do, I do adore

We're as different as can be
I've noticed you're remarkably relaxed
And I'm overly uptight
We balance out each other nicely

You wear sandals in the snow
In mid-July I still feel cold
We're opposites in every way
But I can't resist it when you say

Hello, how are you, my darling today?
I fall into a pile on the floor
Puppy love is hard to ignore
When every little thing you do, I do adore

Finding words, I mutter
Tongue-tied, twisted
Foot in mouth, I start to stutter
Ha, ha, Heaven help me

Hello, how are you, my darling today?
I fall into a pile on the floor
Puppy love is hard to ignore
When every little thing you do, I do adore

I open my eyes and look at all the guys' expressions. They all seemed proud, except for Garroth and Laurence. I gulp as I read theirs. They were blushing and staring with their lips parted at me. I blush as I put my ukulele down and put my hands in my lap. I force a smile and look at all of them.
"I-I'm guessing it was good?" I ask timidly.
"That was great!" Dante says encouragingly. They all nod, except the two staring at me.

They blink back to life as Nathan and Travis wave their hands in front of them.
"Sorry, that was perfect Y/N." Garroth says, smiling warmly at me.
"Yeah. It was amazing." Laurence comments. I smile proudly.

"Why did you guys want to sing anyway?" I ask as I grab my guitar and ukulele.
"Nathan's idea." Dante states. I nod.
"Sounds like my random baby brother." I grin. Nathan stands up and attempts to put me in a headlock. I lean the instruments on the chair and grab both his hands.
"How many times do I have to tell you not to call me that?!" He says angrily. I chuckle as I fight him off.
"It's funny!" I reply. The guys just look on at our little fight.

I manage to twist him around and make his knees buckle, making him fall to his knees with me holding his arms around his neck. I chuckle at his distress.
"Ugh." He groans, knowing his defeat. I let go and he rolls backwards. He frowns up at me.
"Your the worst." He says blankly. I shrug and grab the instruments. I head to the doorway.
"I know!" I yell, jogging up the stairs and shutting my door.

I walk through the crowded hallway and stop at a flock of people chatting and pointing at something. I walk up to the poster as the group walks away. It was a poster announcing that it was Prom in a few weeks. I grimace when I read it further. All years allowed to come. My jaw drops when I read it. I straighten and smile. Like I'm going.

I turn to walk away when I hit something. I stumble back into the wall and look at who just blocked me.
"Oh. Sorry about that Y/N." I see that it was Gene. I was expecting Garroth honestly.
"Hey Gene. Long time no speak." I say. He nods.
"Can I ask you something?" I slowly nod, fully knowing what I was standing next to.
"Great. Stay still for a second." He says, pulling out his phone. I frown. He snaps a picture and slips his phone away.
"And that was for?" I say. He shrugs.
"Y'know how funny it'll be seeing Laurence's and Garroth's reaction to that? Not to mention Dante's..." He says excitedly. I laugh and tilt my head.
"Now that's my kind of thinking. Nice one!" I give him a high five.

"Are you going?" He asks. I shrug.
"I kind of don't want to." I say. He nods, understandingly.
"Yeah, not my sort of scene. I might go with Sasha and Zenix to cause trouble though." A sly smirk forming. I giggle.
"If I am going, I'll be there expecting something bad to happen." He nods.
"Naturally. See you later." He says, waving and walking away. I smile and walk to lunch.

I sit down at my spot and get my lunch out.
"Y/N! Are, are you..." Laurence trails off, sad. I tilt my head and frown.
"Am I what?" Garroth shows me his phone from across the table.
"Are you going to Prom with Gene?" He says, almost mad. I pause then burst out laughing.
"No! I'm not! Hah!" I manage to say through my laughing fits. They both seemed relieved.

"Then... why did he send us this picture. And why were you in it?" Laurence asks suspiciously.
"Well, I was looking at the poster when I bumped into him. Quite literally. And he snapped that telling me that he couldn't wait to see your expressions. Guess he was right." I say, slurping a juice box. Gene was right. Their faces were priceless!
