The celling looked as plain as ever. I should know, I've been staring at it for the past half hour. today's the day. Prom. The biggest event of high school for anyone going. I was thinking about Garroth and Laurence. No matter how much I tried to push the thought of them to the depths of my mind, I just couldn't. They had broken me this week, then re built me just as fast. It was an emotional train wreck I wasn't allowed to jump off of.I thought about them individually. How they were so different but still alike. How I liked them both.
Laurence was more of a flirt. Soft brown hair, baby blue eyes, a charming smirk and words that could make a girl fly. As much as I hate to admit, he grew on me. His playful nature was really fun and molded him into a player. A sweet player.
Garroth was the more responsible one. Sandy blond hair, icy blue eyes, a smile and kind phrases that made him the king of the school. And girls for that matter. He could make any girl fall for him. Even me unfortunately. He was kind and more mature, but equally handsome and flirtatious.
They were perfect, and I was not.
I had flaws that Jesus would condemn. I still have yet to find out theirs for that matter... The perfect players that were best friends. I hate that I can't make up my mind. None of what I've experienced felt fake, but it did feel like a dream. And the worst was, I didn't want to wake up.
I finally sit up and stare at my phone, which was blowing up from the amount of messages. I watch notifications pop up every two seconds. Everyone seemed to be texting.
Aphmau: Of course! I can't wait!
Katelyn: Yeah, they even cancelled school for it.
Lucinda: This is the best!
Aphmau: Katelyn is coming over to mine, so we'll see you guys there.
Kawaii~Chan: This will be so fun!I click out of the group and search through my other messages to see Garroth and Laurence's. I scroll through Laurence's first.
L: Hey beautiful, they cancelled school so you get more time to impress me ;)
L: I can't wait to see you. I'm still curious on your dress.
L: If Garroth pops up, I'll fight him over you anytime ;p
L: I hope you choose me <3 See you thereI can't help but smile at his words. I close his and look at Garroth's.
G: Hey Y/N, I can hardly wait for tonight. I bet you'll look stunning.
G: I hope I get to see you before Laurence. He's my best friend, but I fear that he's going to snatch you away from me ;(
G: I'm just kidding, but I hope he won't do that.
G: See you at Prom, let me know when you get there ;) Good nightI giggle as I turn my phone off. What were these two doing to me? I hum as I look at my alarm clock. 3:28 p.m. I groan and walk over to my door, prying it open and walking down the stairs. For once, my brothers weren't down here playing games. Must be in their rooms. I chuckle. If they take as long as they do in getting ready for school in the morning, then I might need to pitch a tent.
I lean on the counter as I ponder the outcomes of tonight in my mind. I slowly eat a Nutella sandwich as I think. Who have I fallen for? Laurence or Garroth? That was the million dollar question circling my space.
"Y/N!" I look up to see Zyler addressing me with a worried face.
"Yeah?" I reply. He combs his hair with his hand. Seems stressed.
"Could you help me with my suit and hair? I can't find the right mix of messy hair and sharpness." I nod as I study his suit. It was pure black with a dark blue tie. He hadn't put of his dress shoes on just yet. I smile and scoff down the rest of my sandwich."Sure. Let's go." I run up the stairs and into his room, treating it as a race. He stumbles in five seconds later and I forcefully sit him down on his bed.
"Who's your date?"'I ask, combing and ruffling his soft, brown hair, making sure his dark blue tips faced upwards and were pointed. He shakes his head.
"I'm not telling." I pout and keep fixing his hair, applying hair gel here and there.
"Fine, keep your secrets. For now."
