Your POV

"Are you sure?" Zyler asks, staring at me, concern riddled in his stormy grey eyes. I nod and force a smile.
"Of course. Just a regular school day, y'know?" I shrug. He almost chuckles.
"Fine. Romeo, keep an eye on her." He fist bumps Romeo as he nods.
"Don't worry, she's got the greatest, most handsome and charming body guard in the world." He brags, nudging me. I roll my eyes and chuckle.
"Your going to have to beat Dante for that position." I giggle, "he's pretty proud of it." He scowls and turns to Zyler. He chuckles and walks away, heading towards his friends.

We both sit on the water fountain and play on our phones. I would hear an occasional quiet cheer from Romeo, signaling that he's passed whatever level he was on. I look up to see Garroth and Laurence glance at me. I smile and go back to looking at my phone. My phone vibrates and I glance at Romeo.

R: They're looking at you.
Y: Here we go.

I sigh and keeping staring at my phone as footsteps approach me. I can't help but feel oddly guilty.
"Y/N..?" I hear a timid voice say. I look over my phone to see Aphmau. I blink, not expecting her.
"Hey Aph." I greet. I kept a smile, but deep down I wanted to cry all over again.
"Um... Is it okay if I walk you to class?" She asks quietly. She turns to Romeo. "Alone?" I see Romeo's head pop up in disapproval. I nudge him and he sighs.
"Okay." I reply. She lets out a breathe and fiddles with her hands.
"C-Could we go now?" She stutters, "I-If that's okay of course!" I nod and stand up, looking to Romeo.
"See you later dude." I wave. He frowns before diving back into his phone.

We walk away and I feel mine vibrate in my hand.

R: Be careful. And let me know if they come anywhere near you.

I smile at his protective side as I slip my phone into my pocket.

Once we turn a corner, Aph grasps my hands and starts running, taking me with her. We run and turn to the corridor of lockers. Strangely enough, it was empty. Except for two people. They look stand up from leaning on the lockers on either side and look at me sadly. I bite my lip as I look to the ground, ignoring their pleading gazes. Aph hugs me quickly before hurrying away. I stand their stunned and frozen. Damnit Aphmau...

"Y/N... I-I," Garroth stutters.
"We are so sorry." Laurence continues. I look up to see them a few feet in front of me. I can't stand feeling like this.
"It's fine. I wasn't supposed to know in the first place. So... I should be the one to apologize." My apology was half spirited but it was true. It wasn't my place to know. They go to talk but I act first.
"I'm just upset over nothing I guess. Irene I'm such an idiot." I mumble, almost talking to myself.

I close my eyes and think for a few seconds. The distant chatters from the outside fill the empty and silent space. I flinch as someone hugs me. I lean against soft brown hair and almost hug back. Garroth walks up and puts a hand on my shoulder, as well as puts his head on top of mine.
"No Y/N. It's our fault for not telling you earlier." Laurence says, playing with my hair.
"Please don't blame yourself. You have nothing to apologize for." Garroth says. I sadly smile as I lean against Laurence and wrap an arm around Garroth.

"I forgive you two," I giggle. They both let go and smile brightly. I put my hands on my hips and grin brightly.
"And besides, how could I stay mad at you two?" I smile. They both smirk proudly.
"Now the real challenge." Laurence announces. I raise an eyebrow as Garroth seems to nod in understanding.
"What would that be?" I ask. They both exchange a look before smiling.
"Which one of us you'll go to Prom with." Garroth replies, as if it were obvious. My heart stops as I recall and repeat that sentence in my head, as well as what I fear.

"Well... um, about that..." I stutter, twiddling my thumbs. They both look confused.
"Is it too much?" Laurence adds quickly. I shake my head.
"N-No... it's just that I already have a date." I look away, not risking to look at their faces.
"You... you have a date. Already?" Laurence repeats. I slowly nod my head.
"O-Oh." Garroth mutters, disappointedly. I look at them and timidly smile.
"I'm sure Romeo won't mind if you guys hang out with me." Their heads whip towards me as they exhale a held breathe.

"Thank Irene!" Laurence shouts. I recoil. Now it's me giving them a confused look.
"I thought it was an actual date! I'm so relieved." Garroth sighs contently. I giggle as they relax.
"You guys took that better then expected." I admit. They look both happy and disappointed.
"Well," Laurence mutters, "I hate that it's not me. But I know that Romeo won't be much of a date." He smiles, high fiving Garroth. I frown, almost insulted that they would say that about him.
"Same. But I'm sure he won't mind if you swap for a long duration of the night." He grins. My jaw drops when I realize.

"So... your both planning to do a switch-a-roo with me on Prom?" They glance at each other before scratching their necks.
"Okay, so that might sound a bit bad." Laurence admits.
"Yeah..." Garroth adds. I cross my arms and smile.
"Well, I'll just have to see which one of you grabs my attention first." I challenge. The bell goes and I turn on my heel and walk away.
"See you two later." I wave. They both stand in place staring at me, grinning.
