Chapter 5

I flop on my bed as I walk inside my room. What a day... After school, Laurence asked if he could walk me home. I would've said yes if Zyler didn't high five him and say 'Not a chance pal'. Laurence looked upset that he got turned down. He recovered quickly though, I saw him walking away with Aphmau a couple minutes later. Smooth...
"Y/N!" I watch as an excited Romeo bursts through my door and leaps on me. He rolls off and stretches out on the bed. I laugh into the sheets.
"How was your first day?" He asks excitedly. I look up at him. His gold eyes were sparkling.
"It was, interesting." He sits up with a goofy expression.
"Well, tell me later when we go out. Get changed." He orders. I was still in my uniform. I groan and stand up. He yells 'Be quick' and he slams the door closed. I groan and go to get changed.

I walk outside to a Romeo jumping with joy. I wore a light blue plaid shirt with black ripped jeans and black and white vans. He snickers at me and I walk back inside groaning. A few seconds later, I walk out with my skateboard.
"How could I forget this?" I mutter sadly. It was a black board with F/C wheels. The underside of it was a different story. It hade all kinds of shape, colors and words drawn on it. I'm somewhat of an artist I guess, so I like to design my boards. I look at his. He had a beige board, with blue wheels.
"Alright! I'm off!" I holler into the house before closing the door. I pat my pocket, checking for my phone. I feel it and smile. Not this time. I go to put my board down when Romeo stops me.
"Can we walk and talk?" He asks. I nod.
"Sure. Let's go." We walk down the porch steps and turn left on the footpath. The sky was lit up in a mix of pink, orange and yellow. Sunset looked quite beautiful. I see two people I thought I would never see again today. Garroth and Laurence. They were both sitting on the porch of a house, out of uniform. Must be one of their houses... I make sure not to look at them while I spill all the details about my day. Well, maybe not all of them. Romeo happily listens in.

Garroth's POV

I sat outside my house as Laurence and I talked. We talked about the freshmen and our day. He was kind of upset that Y/N's friend turned him down. I didn't think that Zyler and Y/N would've know each other, it was probably through her little brother Nathan. We talked for awhile about the gym incident with Nathan's group. We both admitted that we hated them talking to her that way.

"Garroth, look!" I turn to see Laurence staring at two people walking down the footpath in front of us. They were on the other side of the road. I was about to question him when I recognize one of them.
"Is.. Is that Y/N?" I say, confused. What was she doing on my street? And with him? They seemed to be happily chatting away. Were they dating? A knot twisted in my gut. I may like her, but I can't really like like her, can I? Laurence knocks me out of my thoughts by standing up. I also stand up, wondering what he's going to do.
"Hey! Y/N!" He calls out. The pair both snap around to look at us. Before I can tell him to shut it, he motions for them to come over. As they cross the road, I notice that they're both holding skateboards. I didn't know Y/N was into that.
"Hey Laurence, hey Garroth." She says cheerfully. I give her a smile, as does Laurence. She turns to the other guy. He had slicked up jet black hair with bright golden eyes and a smile.
"Romeo, this is Garroth and Laurence. Their my classmates. Guys, this is Romeo." She says, motioning to us when she calls out our names. He exchange hellos.
"Where are you guys going? And with skateboards?" Laurence asks.
"Yeah. I never took you for a skater Y/N." I add. She smiles sheepishly.
"We're going to a park with some friends. It's what we do every so often." She explains. We nod.

"Mind if we join in?" Laurence asks. I look at him betrayed. Why? I look at Y/N who also had a puzzled look. She turns to Romeo.
"You alright with this?" She says, nudging him. He shrugs.
"Sure, why not." He chirps. She turns back to us. Her E/C sparkling brightly.
"Then let's go." And with that, Laurence and I started to follow Y/N and Romeo to wherever they were heading.
"One question. Is your name really Romeo?" I ask. I couldn't help it. He looked behind at me and grinned.
"Nah. It's just a name Y/N gave me. My real names Ramirez." He says chuckling. I nod.
"Why Romeo then?" Laurence asks. This time Y/N turns her head.
"Because he's a flirt." She giggles. Romeo nudges her.
"Am not." He counters.
"Am too!" She replies.

We get to the park that they were talking about. It's lit up and many people are already there, either skating, playing basketball or just hanging around. She squeals happily when she sees everyone. As we enter the grounds, she pulls out her phone and stops. Laurence keeps walking and walks into her, but stops her from losing balance by hugging her. I growl slightly and I see that Romeo looks mad. Y/N doesn't really respond in a way that girls would normally react to Laurence touching them.
"You alright there?" She answers as she looks up from her phone. This seemed to surprise him. He lets go and she scrolls forwards. Suddenly, music turns on. It seems to be energetic. Peoples heads instantly whip around to look at us. Huge grins form on their faces.
"Y/N!"
