" I know what's going on and I'm not happy" I spun around to meet Crystal's smirking face and sighed in relief.

" Thank goodness... I didn't know how to tell you-"

" JACE ASKED YOU OUT " she squealed in excitement.

" What. NO "

" then what happened. Something's up with you "

I sighed " IkissedAshton " I rushed out

" Wow... " She looked taken aback.
" I don't know what's more weird; the fact that I understood that or the fact that you kissed your crush's brother "

I took a deep breath
" So, how was your first kiss ?" She asked leaning on a sink.

" It was wonderful like having rainbows, butterflies and unicorns in my stomach"
I sighed but some how got out of my dazed state.

" What about Jace ? "

" I dunno" i groaned.

" Maybe the kiss confused you. You'll know what you feel "
I sighed again
" Now let's get back to class " she said

" You go. I'll catch up with you "

Unknown pov

" You go I'll catch up with you" the little slut said to her friend.

Avery has always been shy and timid. She's not even that pretty. I don't see what he sees in her.
The information I just got, it seems she hasn't got Ashton wrapped around her fingers. I can get him.
He only belongs to me.

Avery's pov

It's lunch time and I have been standing behind the cafeteria for over ten minutes because I was too nervous to sit with Jace.

I haven't seen Ashton around which brought me relief.

I sucked in a deep breath and and pushed the door open.

I got my food and made my way to ' the popular table'

" Oh my God, you're gonna sit with us today" Crystal squealed almost scaring me to dropping my tray.

" Uh yeah. Jace invited me "

" Oh so when Jace asked you, you agreed in Less than a minute. But when I asked you, you refused "
She raised an eyebrow

" I'm really trying to avoid Ashton"

" Then stop looking for him " she said and pulled me to the table.

I sat down next to Crystal, there were only three people seated apart from Crystal and I; Stephen, Kevin, River, who greeted Crystal with a peck on the cheek and James who ignored the existence of Crystal and I.

" So you decided to join us " Kevin spoke up after swallowing a piece of pizza which is m pretty sure is about the size of my palm. Okay maybe I exherggerated a little.

" Yeah.. I guess " I chuckled awkwardly.

few minutes later, Jace arrived with Tori, a few cheerleaders and footballers. Everyone took their seat.

From the corner of my eye, I could see Ashton walking in. Most of the attention in the cafeteria was directed towards him. I noticed he had a scowl on his face but I simply ignored it. Pretty soon , people went back to their business.

Everyone seemed to have someone to talk to I kept quiet and and ate my food.

" I didn't know we just allow anyone to join us " Tori's sharp voice caught my ear.

I pretended I didn't hear a word.

" I mean look at her " she looked at me " personally, I think she's a social climber. First she used Ashton yo up to the gala now she's probably here to use us "

I chose to ignore her.

" Would you stop that?. She's here cause I invited her " Jace said defending me and I almost melted.

" So Amy, tell us about you " Stephen said trying to change the topic.

" It's Avery actually" I replied meekly.

" And I -"

" You know I don't see why, she's here " Tori said with a scowl on her face.

" Tori would you stop that " Jace slammed his fist on the table, glaring at Tori

" Why are you taking her side ? I'm YOUR girlfriend"
Her glare matched Jace's.

" Ok everyone I think we should all sit down and talk... Okay" Stephen tried to intervene.

" NO I'm sick and tired of her treating people like trash" Jace turned to Tori " the world doesn't revolve around you "

Everyone in the table kept quiet pretended to be distracted by something. They seemed to have gotten the attention of everyone.

" That's enough. You're causing a scene" Stephen said which seemed to bring them back to everyone. They took their seats and everyone ate their meal quietly.

Soon after, everyone made an excuse to leave the table. Only Jace and Tori were left

" James " I yelled after him.

" Yeah what's up " he replied as I found an empty table and we both sat down.

" So, how's the Crystal thing going " I asked.

" I tried Avery but it's like every time I look for a reason not to like her, I get two more reasons to like her " he sighed.

I heard giggling and I turned to see River and Crystal at another table. He was whispering something funny in her ear.

School was over . Everyone was talking about the fight between Jace and Tori. I could blame them, they were the most popular couple in school.

Crystal and James had practice and because I am trying to avoid Ashton, I decided to walk home.

" Avery " I froze when I heard the voice. This is the first time I've heard him say my name and oddly, I did not like it.

" Hey Ashton" I spun to face him " What's up "

" Nothing " he shoved his hands into his pockets.
" I'm sorry if I offended you by doing that.... It was a mistake "

Ouch

My first kiss was a mistake. Yay me.

" Yeah I totally agree" I lied somehow making my voice even more high pitched.

" So we're cool then ? "

" Yeah " I licked my chapped lips.

" So, you wanna wait for me to get my car ?"  He asked.

"I think I'll walk today" I smiled at him.

" Ok lemme just called the driver and tell him I'll be walking " he pulled out his cellphone.

" Actually, I think I want to walk alone"

" Oh. Okay. Bye "

" Bye "

It's just a stupid mistake Avery don't think about it. He doesn't care.
