When I reached home, I was very tired so I thought a nap was in order before I went to Crystal's house for a sleepover.

I plopped down on the couch and closed my eyes as sleep took over. A knock on my door got me up. It was probably Crystal. I groaned and opened the door.

" Crys can you please-" I stopped when I saw who was at the door.

Light brown hair with highlights, lively brown eyes, freckles. I hated how much I looked like her. I noticed her very visible belly bump. Emilia Ganes and her manager.

" What are you doing here ?" I asked with a look which was the coldest I could summon.

" We need to talk " she stated

" We have nothing to talk about, get out of here " I slammed the door.

I sat down on the couch.
I felt a tear fall. I wiped it with my hand.

No I will not cry.

" Listen to me " I looked up to her. I must have forgotten to lock the door.
I pushed past her and went up to my room ignoring her calls. Making sure to lock my door, I picked up my phone and called my dad.

" Hey princess, I'm kinda busy right now" he said.

" Daddy" I sobbed

" Princess, what's wrong" he sounded worried

" E-Emilia. Sh-she's here "

I heard shuffling " I'm coming " he hung up.

I could still hear her voice and frankly, it bothered me so I plugged in my headphones and turned on some heavy metal music, it wasn't very loud but it blocked all other sounds.
I don't know how long I stayed in my room.

I got a text from my dad telling me to open the door and I did. I hugged him as soon as I saw him.

" Hey princess" he held my face " are you okay ? " He asked and I nodded.

" You're going to Crystal's house right? "
I nodded.
" I want you to go. Grandma's driver is waiting for you. He'll take you there. I'll see you tomorrow " he placed a kiss on my forward " I love you so much"
" Love you too Dad "
I greeted my grandma mother before rushing out of the house. I didn't want any contact with her.

I got in the car and released a sigh of relief before I shrieked in fear when I saw a figure in the car.

" Ashton ?"

" Hey "

" What are you doing here ?" I asked

" Your grandma called. She said you needed a friend and she couldn't reach Crystal "

" Oh " l licked my chapped lips.

" What's up " I foolishly said then mentally smacked myself for not thinking of anything smart to say.

" Nothing "
An awkward silence came.

" I'm sorry " we said at the same time after some time.

" Why are you apologizing? I had no right to yell at you that way "

" No. It's not your fault. It's mine"

" Friends?" I stretched out my hand.

" Friends " he shook it.
The silence was back again.

" Ashton"

" Hmm "

" Why don't you get along with Jace?"
I asked.

I knew it would make him angry but I had to know. I didn't want to end up having to choose.

" I don't really-"

" Please, you promised"
He sighed.

" Melissa and André we're married for a while and they didn't have kids, they tried I guess... It made their marriage fall apart, they took some time apart, André went to his hometown in Spain, where he met my mother and they had an affair eventually the asshole 'realized' he loves his wife. He left my mother "
He sighed

" He went back to his wife and he found out she was pregnant when he left. Ten years later, he came back for vacation with his Happy family and he found out that my mom was pregnant too and she had me"
He paused for a while

" There was a huge court case and of course he won custody. I wasn't allowed to see anyone from her family .
They didn't bring me with them.... Th-they were ashamed of me. By the time I was twelve, I threw tantrums, behaved badly so they would take me back. When they did I found out my mother died, she couldn't take it.

They took me back with them. Jace wasn't really thrilled about the idea of having a brother like I was especially one from a different mother. He thought I was coming to tear his family apart.
I begged them to let me live with my grandparents and they did. Until now"

He licked his lips

" Jace keeps initiating fights until I fvcking couldn't take it anymore. I have to fight back. I'm sorry if I can't get along with him. I'm not saying you can't be friends with him but I can't. I guess I kinda understand him" he was full on crying when he finished.

I pulled him to a hug which made me notice I was crying too I also noticed that the car had pulled to a stopped for a while.

" I'm sorry I was in considerate " I said when I pulled away. I wiped his tears with the back of my hand. " You didn't deserve everything that happened to you and everything will be fine. It was never your fault"

" You didn't know Chip and please stop looking at me with pity " he chuckled.

" I never thought I'd miss that nickname"

He pulled me to a hug again.
" I missed you " he said

" I missed you too "

Third person's pov

How could someone be so perfect?
Ashton thought as he watched his beautiful Chip listen to his story. She didn't even try to interrupt him.

She even cried for him.

He didn't like the look of sympathy she gave him. He never liked being pitied.

When she wiped his tears and told him everything was going to be fine, he didn't give a flying fvck if she liked Jace, he was going to win her heart.

She will fall in love with him. His heart was already hers.
