Just A Crush

chapter 31 : fall

Third person pov
A car pulled up at Tori's house. He told her to make sure that she was home alone so no one from school would see him.

" Babe " she said with a smirk while he walked into her room.

" How was your date? " She asked
He shrugged in response.

In the beginning, he really liked Tori but as time went one she just became the most advantageous option.

She was popular, they looked good together and if in future he married her, their companies would merge. It was a win win.

He knew Tori wasn't in love with him. They understood what they both wanted from each other. Tori just wanted the fame and name just like him.

He knew dating Avery would make Tori angry because everyone would know Tori was replaced by a no body. But they would get back together as soon as he breaks her fragile little heart.

" I'm going to break up with her in a month, then we can get back together "
" Good. You have no idea how much embarrassment this is causing me. I hope it's worth it " she looked at her acrylic nails while talking. She radiated with pure pride.

" I think she deserves it though, I mean, she did leave your brother for you. She's a social climber. She's using you too "

" No she isn't she's innocent " he knew better. For the few days he had known Avery, he knew she wouldn't intentionally hurt anyone.

" And you think we're the guilty ones? Come on Jace "

He knew what he was doing was wrong but he wanted to hurt Ashton. He needed to hurt Ashton.

" No she isn't.  she comes off as innocent and kind but I can see through her. She's a Slut "

" DON'T SAY THAT ABOUT HER !" Jace yelled.

Tori was beyond shocked at his tone

" Why are you defending her. Don't tell me she has you wrapped around her finger like Ashton "

" No. The question here is why you are against her. What has she done to you?"

" You need to leave"

" I already was "  he replied and he left.

Tori sat on her bed.
While he drove to his house. He couldn't help but think about what Tori said.
was he really beginning to fall for Avery.

He went straight to his room.

He thought back to his date with Avery. He couldn't help but compare her to Tori.

He remembered the first time he took Tori to ' homely feeling'. She told him the place was disgusting but Avery loved the place.

At a moment of weakness, he once told Tori that he wanted to be a teacher. She laughed hard. When he finally convinced her he wasn't joking, she told him being a teacher was useless she emphasized on how little the pay was. Avery on the other hand, supported him and payed attention as he spoke.

He sighed.

Earlier that day, he wasn't supposed to take Avery out on a date, he just wanted to spend time with her. It had nothing to do with the plan Hell, he forgot about the plan while he was with her.

How could he not fall for her. From her brown hair to her beautiful  brown eyes, her gorgeous smile to her good and kind nature.

Deep down, he knew Avery shouldn't be a part of what he was doing. He realized that what he had started would hurt him too.

He picked his phone and dailed Tori's number.

" I'm not doing it anymore "

" What? You can't just back out "

" I can and I am. You were right. I like her "
Tori let out an angry scream and threw her phone put the window.

Her reputation was going to be damaged and it was all that stupid Avery's fault and she would make sure Avery paid for it.

Jace didn't go home immediately after his encounter with Tori. He drove around town just to clear his head. He had already begun to feel guilty for what he was doing to Avery.

If he drove straight to her house, told her everything and asked for her forgiveness would she forgive him? Or would she throw him out of her house and hate him forever ?.

He felt a slight headache as his mind played different scenarios of what would happen, trying to predict the future.

This was all Ashton's fault he thought. He went home after a while and went straight to bed.

Meanwhile on the other part of the mansion a sad Ashton sat with his knees to his chest in his dark room just like he would when his family left him.

Avery was officially dating his brother. But did she really love Jace?. He needed to know. Would her answer punish him emotionally again or would it give him hope.

Most importantly he really hoped Jace loved her.
A single tear dropped from his eye and he hurriedly I cleaned it. He didn't even realize when he fell asleep.
