I woke up feeling refreshed and Crystal's foot on my face. I groaned and pushed it off mistakenly knocking off her picture of Shawn Mendez which thankfully did not break.

I took my shower and dressed up.

" Crystal, wake up it's already fifteen minutes to seven " I shook her.

" No five more minutes Janet" she groaned.

" You said that fifteen minutes ago and I'm not Janet "

With another groan she got up and went to the bathroom.
Crystal had a very high alcohol tolerance so I guessed she would be okay going to school.

" You are looking particularly cute today " she smirked while she dried off her hair.

" I'm not " I plopped down on my bed.

" Sure you're not " she replied with an obvious look of disbelief.
Okay I may have applied a little bit of mascara and eyeliner and maybe lip gloss but, in my defense, Jace was taking me to school.

" Aaaand done " she said after what felt like hours but was most probably a few minutes.

A loud car horn outside made me.

" Oh it's prince charming" her teasing tone made me blush.

" Come on let's go "

" Nah. River is gonna pick me up. Go have fun and try not to make me an aunt " she said the last part so loud I was sure Jace heard it.

I skipped my way outside.
" Hey" I smiled at Jace

" You look nice " he said and I blushed .

A bright smile made it's way to my face when he opened the car door for me.

" What a gentleman " I commented.

" Thank you " he replied " I read it in the book 'how to be a gentleman for dummies ' "

" I don't think you're a dummy " I said

" Then you should see my physics test scores"

" But you are awesome in chemistry " I replied.

" And how pray tell do you know that Avery?" He raised a brow and my face paled at his question.

I couldn't tell him I knew that because I had been stalking him for a long time.

" Uhm I-I saw you the other day and you said you were in AP chemistry class "

" You are so cute " his word made my cheeks burn.

The drive to school was awesome Jace and I talked about a lot of things from ice cream flavours to his cute love for football.

When we arrived at school, Jace was immediately crowded by his friends which helped me to sneak out unnoticeably.

Ashton was no where in sight. Maybe he would come to school later.

" Tickets for the Halloween ball, do it to save a soul from detention people "
James yelled across the hallway.

" Still trying to sell tickets ?" I asked

" No Avery, I'm trying to stay a fire breathing dragon over here " he deadpanned.

" Well can I help you kill the dragon ?" I asked and his face brightened up with a huge smile.

" Here you go " he gave me a few tickets " they are five bucks each. Thanks. You're an angel "
