Trigger warning: MAJOR characters' deathsPetra's POV.
Taking away Romeo's powers was not such a great idea after all. He was the one, who had controlled everything in this world, whether we knew it or not. And now, without any Admins, our world was doomed to slowly disappear, taking all of the remained humans with it.
We thought everything would be good after we left Terminal Space. Jesse and I wanted to go out, looking for adventure. She left her position as a mayor - only to be with me. Huh. We were so happy back then!
But the world began to rot ever since that day. The first thing we noticed, of course, was sky acting really weird. The sun was frozen in its place, not moving an inch. I thought it was weird, but nothing to worry about.
Little did we know.
Without anybody to control the world, it got stuck in the very position it was when Romeo was left in that sick dimention of his. I thought back then that it was the right thing to do. He had hurt way too many people. He had to pay for his crimes.
But it turned out, even the worst of his crimes were nothing, compared to the nightmare we were living in now. Even after his death, he still found a way to torment us.Now, with all three Admins gone, we were the ones who had to suffer the consequenses. The moon, the sun, the clouds - all of them were stuck, turning our once peaceful world into the worst place I could imagine. Some parts of our world(including Beacon Town), were always sunlit, no darkness, no night, no chance to rest. It became really hot here, and very soon it became almost impossible for us to live our homes without getting burned.
However, we got it better than other places. I know that there were at least fifteen towns that got hit with eternal night, and with it - endless waves of monsters running around. In some places it was snowing or raining every second, with no end, no possible future. Surely enough, no person could live there.
Jesse and I returned back to Beacon Town after realising that something was wrong. People were scared, and they looked at us, as if we were the ones who could fix everything. As if we could save the world once again, letting people live their lives peacefully.
But neither Jesse nor I could move the sun or the moon, we couldn't possibly make it rain so that people could grow food here. We just couldn't. And with citizens realising that we, their heroes, couldn't possibly save them this time, it only got worse.
Some of them left, looking for a better place to live. Only one of them returned, three weeks later, wounded and scarred. He was begging Jesse and me to let him stay with us, saying that this place was the best one and that they had been stupid. We let him in, of course, but he passed away a couple of days later because of some unknown desease.
Jesse couldn't stand it. Realising that she couldn't actually do anything now was probably much worse for her than for all the people together. She would spend hours upon hours, pacing around in her room, thinking, thinking, thinking... She believed there still was a solution, but she just couldn't put her finger on it. In fact, she became so lost in herself, that I had to take over.
I was no leader, but I was a warrior. Such a disaster was bound to create groups of scavangers, who would be running around, looking for food and water. And so, I and the remained Beacon Towners built a stone wall around our town, that prevented outsiders from getting inside. At first it was made of wood, but the heat became so strong it simply burned down after a week or so... It was really hard to judge time without changing days and nights.
