Sorry,i had to change the plot a bit, because I had no idea how to explain Jesse's shame of going back. I changed it to fear. Hope you'll like it anyway!

They believed it was over. They believed they had made it to the cabin. They believed nothing could go wrong now.

But the Admin had other plans.

Theynever thought he would be that smart, but you can never underestimate the Admin. He is cunning. He is ruthless. He is willing to do whatever it takes to win in a game. And if he wins, the losers have to go through through the worst of punishments.

That's what happened to our brave, proud Jesse who, with the help of her friends, had finished Romeo's challenge. The Challenge. The one that had been designed for the three of the Admins. Of course, her self-esteem was over the bedrock. They had just done something that even the Admins couldn't do.

Or so she thought.

Because Romeo was a fan of secret traps and bonus levels. He couldn't let the group of heroes finish his challenge this easily, right? So he left behind a "gift" for them, a little something for the one who would be victorious. He thought it would be funny.

But for Jesse, it wasn't.

Because the moment she stepped out of the challenge room, she felt horror such as none human being had ever experienced before. That kind of horror, of pure fear when a person can turn against their closest friends, where a snap of the twig on the ground can cause a heart attack. You might think that this was Romeo's revenge on Jesse, but you'd be wrong. After all, he had designed all this fun for his fellow Admins.

And no Admin can die because of fear.

But Jesse wasn't an Admin. She wasn't nearly strong enough to fight that horrible feeling. She just gave in, her green eyes widening and her breathing becoming faster and faster. She looked around, and in every rose, in every block of bedrock she saw danger. Terror stroke her like a blade and she fell down, shaking like a leaf.

Sure enough, her friends rushed to help her. It only made Jesse scream, crawling away from them. She wasn't safe there! She was surrounded by people and monsters, those who wanted to hurt her kill her. There was no salvation.

That was the Admin's cruel gift. The bravest of the people turned into a coward, scared of her own shadow. Her vision was blurry and thousands of loud sounds banged on her eardrums. Wherever she put her hand she felt she was falling to her death. Wherever she stepped she felt spiders and bugs crawl up her legs.

Others tried to shake her out of this. But the Admin's charms can't be undone with such a gesture. If anything, it only tore Petra's and Radar's hearts to pieces when Jesse began to cry and trash around in vain.

She didn't see her friends. In her eyes, their faces morphed, turned into the ugliest and the scariest of the monsters she could think of. Long claws, razor-sharp fangs, blood-thirsty eyes... No wonder she fought back against them, scratching Radar and forcing him to let go of her shoulder.

But it wasn't good enough. She wasn't safe there. She wasn't safe around her best friends. She wasn't safe in the only place in the whole Underneath that didn't look like it would kill her any moment. So the first thing Jesse did when the opportunity presented itself was what we all would've done.

She ran away.

Petra's yells and Radar's shouts, which had transformed into the scariest of growls and howls died down, but Jesse didn't stop. She ran and ran, zigzagging between piles of rubbish and feeling her heart beat wildly. But running and being scared takes a lot of strengh, even if the person who is running has more adrenaline in their blood than ever in their entire life.
