Jesse's POV.

I was floating in the mid-air. Everything around me was dark and peaceful, and even if I wanted to, I wouldn't be able to move even a limb. My bones felt as if they had turned into water, I couldn't tell if I was lying or standing, or if I was even hanging upside-down. I tried to open my eyes, but my eyelids were too heavy to even flutter a bit.

If I tried to listen, I couldn't hear a thing. However, if I just let go of my struggling and just gave in, my mind began to fill with silent and faint sounds. They were coming from someplace far, far away, and there was no point in trying to reach that place.

So, for now, all I could do was surrender to the peaceful darkness a try to think. Was I supposed to be here? What happened? Why was I in this state? My heart was much too heavy to beat faster, and my blood was too cold to rush in my hands and feet. Something pressed against my chest and stomach, taking away even my power to breathe faster.

Despite all of this, I still considered myself to be panicing. I mean, not a part of my body was responding to my call, was that normal?! Where was I anyway?!

There was a bright spot somewhere in the back of my mind. A memory of some sort, only it was so far away that it was hard for me to reach it. I relaxed my consciousness and allowed this place do with me whatever it wanted to.

Strange waves rocked my numb body, carrying me towards the only bright spot there was. I didn't mind, patiently waiting for that memory to become brighter, more alive. Then carefully reached out to it, afraid that it would shrink away from my mental grasp - but no, it stayed there.

I saw pictures before my eyes. I had just smashed the Command Block - oh, Reuben, where are you?! - and then I was falling from the sky - and then... Then there came agonozing pain as my body crashed into the ground and every bone in my body shattered to pieces. And then there came darkness, and I was sure I was dying.

Silent noises below my scull grew louder and louder. There was a nasty repeating "beep" that felt like something was burrowing in my brain. There were whispers and hushed voices that I couldn't recognise how ever I tried.

My jaw was the only thing I could move for now, the rest of my body, especially legs, still felt like they were made from iron. Using every ounce of strengh I had, I opened my mouth ever so slightly - for a few moments I was convinced it was full of sand - and let out the faintest of groans. Why? I don't know. It just felt like the only thing I could do that moment.

All of a sudden a deafening yelp stabbed me right through my head, and something warm wrapped around my hand. I tried to raise mental walls to seperate myself from the outside world, for my ears felt like they were about to start bleeding, when a familiar voice drew me back.

- Jesse!

I stiffened, and my heart began thumping heavily against my ribs, gaining more speed with every passing moment. That voice - I knew it! I knew it so well! Hearing it so close to me again was even worth facing the terrible pain. I had thought... I had thought I would never hear it again.

My eyes fluttered open, my body incredibly heavy. And, immediatelly, I was met with the most beautiful, the most kind and the most sad eyes I had seen in my life. Light blue, like sky itself, they were staring right in my heart, and I felt it melting.

- Lukas? - My voice was weak and I coughed immediatelly, my throat feeling as if it had been burnt to crisp. Lukas's eyes went wide. For a few moments we were just sitting there, gazing at one another as if there was no tomorrow, before he leaned forward. I froze, feeling his arms wrap around me in the most comforting hug I've ever had, then slowly made my hands reach up and hug back. It wasn't an easy task, considering they still felt extremely heavy, but just one thought of touching him, of making sure he was here, he was real...
