Tell me, do you actually believe that stuff that is written in books about history? Well, you shouldn't. Because people who write these books only see one side of the story, and they have no interest in looking for another, even though it might change everything. And wars, such as the Scarlet War are never the same as we read about them in the books. Same thing with Jesse's reign.

The history is wrong about that. Absolutely wrong!

For the night Harper gave birth to a child, Ivor was pacing around in his throne room, murmuring prayers to the gods. Screams of his wife's agony spread through the entire castle, and they hurt the king almost as much as they hurt his wife. That wasn't supposed to take that long! Was something going wrong?!
- Please, let them be alright. - Ivor begged the cruel powers. - Please, she's a good woman! She doesn't deserve that!

But the gods had no mercy. If there was one thing they were good at, it was justice. One life in exchange for another. And when the cries of pain ended as suddenly as they had began, everybody in the whole kingdom knew, what had happened. They knew, and great sorrow lied on their hearts, heavy as stone.
The doors to the throne room opened wide. Gabriel, Ivor's  Personal Servant, walked to his lord, looking on the floor in sadness.

- Gabriel? - The king's voice was as silent as a whisper. - How is...
The warrior shook his head, and a couple of tears ran down his cheeks. Ivor gasped and pressed his hand against his mouth, looking petrified. Harper... His wife, his one true love, his whole point to live - was now gone.
- What... - His voice broke, turning into pathetic sobs. - The kid?

Gabriel looked at his king, and sorrow in his eyes was slightly replaced by weak fear and cheer.
- They are alright. - He spoke and reached his hand to Ivor, who frowned slightly. - Sir, you child...
He took a deep breath and looked up, hesitating slightly before saying:
- You have twins.

Ivor gasped and flinched back, shaking his head. Twins! It was a bad omen, for twins meant death, they meant destruction! It must've been a mistake! It had to be!
- Are you sure? - The king asked, and his heartbeat fastened.
Gabriel nodded.
- A boy and a girl. - He explained. - Very alike, from what I can tell.
The king shook his head, tears running down his pale cheeks. The gods said that giving birth to two children at the same time was the worst sin there could be! One of these children was not blessed by the skies, but brought from the depths of Hell, it was the devil itself!

Ivor knew, what had to be done. One of his kids had to be sacrificed, so that another could live happily ever after. But when the king walked to the chamber where his newborn children were lying, fast asleep, his heart ached suddenly. Two kids, absolutely identical, were sleeping peacefully, and neither one of them looked evil. On the contrary, they both were two little angels, who Ivor loved from the first singht. Shaking, he whispered a prayer and hold up his hand above the girl, a small dagger shining brightly in the moonlight.

She didn't stir. Didn't open her eyes. But something shot through the old man that night, something that made him drop the knife, that made him stop his foolish religious act. Perhaps, it was the mere memory of his beloved wife, perhaps, it was his natural kindness. But one thing certain - he couldn't take a life of one of his children. But he couldn't let both of them rule one day. One of them would bring the kingdom to ruins.

And so he decided, that the boy should become the prince. Boys are always better leaders, they are stronger, and he could protect his son from the clutches of evil. If the girl was the cursed one, she would never have a chance to rule anyway. She wouldn't be able to hurt a person. Ivor would make sure of that.

With heavy heart, he brought the girl to the kitchens, and gave her to two cooks, after they swore they wouldn't say a word to anybody. Only them, a doctor from overseas, Gabriel and Ivor himself knew the truth now. The doctor went to his homeland, where he peacefully passed a few months later, and the whole Minecraftia cheered when their king first presented his son, Jesse. And nobody knew that out there, behind the walls of the castle, another kid was growing, with no respect she deserved. I bet you already know what her name was. Exactly.
