This was the day Lukas never thought would come.

The day he would hate a girl.

His teeth gritted in powerless anger, he walked down the streets of the Town, the sun feeling good on his skin. The ice and snow had only begun to melt down, and even though it was still pretty chilly, the guy didn't even think of buttonning up his coat. It was probably due to the fact that as soon as the temperature of the air settled down above zero, his coat was thrown away and forgotten.

A cool leather jacket didn't do much to defend the kid from the frost, yet it did look amazing. And Lukas always payed attention to his appearance. Who needs to wear some old, ugly and shabby coat when you can wear something that looks wonderful? Even if it doesn't protect you from cold, it doesn't matter that much. You can always walk on the sunny part of the road.

The guy wrapped the jacked tighter around himself. It was cold, indeed. His ears and nose felt the worst, they were definitely red. But it didn't matter much, Lukas was a strong kid. He would never get cold, he had made sure if that.

With a tired sigh, the blondie raised his chin up and inhaled the frosty air. It still felt nice, walking like that, no unbearable weight of that heavy coat slowing him down. People glanced at him warily, not sure if he felt okay, so the guy smiled at all of them arrogantly.

Exactly. He was the boss here. He was the leader, the one to tell the others what to wear. Very soon other teens would follow his decision and abandon the old stuffy winter clothes, choosing something much more cool and beautiful. Aiden and his little lap dogs, Maya and Gill, had already chosen it. It wouldn't be too long until the spring comes not only in nature, but in people as well.

Pride swelled inside Lukas at the thought that he, once again, was the one to change the clothes of people. It had already become his annual traditional, being the first one to look as cool as possible. Of course every boy and girl in the town was always glad to follow Lukas.

Apart from that one.

His blue eyes narrowed at the thought of that ridiculous newcomer with a mane of fiery-red hair. She knew no submission, she didn't know who the alfa wolf was, neither did she seem to care. Just who did she think she was?! Humiliating him like that in front of his band, she really had no decency, had she?!

Lukas's blood boiled when he remembered what had happened a couple of days before. It was so new to him, so confusing, that he didn't even know how to react at first. But then at night, when he was tossing and turning, he understood exactly what was going on.

His authority had been challenged.

He never would've believed it in any other day. But that day wasn't like the rest of them. It seemed to be a pretty ordinary morning, the weather was getting a bit better, and the sun was smiling through the thin clouds. Lukas was simply chilling out with his mates - well, one mate, actually. Maya and Gill were mostly there to fetch the two some water and snackes. And the blondie also liked how he looked and acted next to them, his wonderful manners and way of speach showing a lord in the crowd of commonners.

Aiden, though, was an interesting creature. Almost as smart as Lukas himself, maybe a tiny bit more rude and arrogant, he shared his thoughts about the world. Now, Aiden was somebody worth spending Lukas's time with. They could always talk about anything, and they could talk and argue about it for hours.

That day, they were just talking about those three idiot kids with a little pig. It was Aiden's favorite topic, he could laugh at them for all day long and he wouldn't get tired. The blondie wasn't sure he liked that in any way, he didn't enjoy humiliating others. No, no, he much preferred just being superior and well-known, but no bulluing. It wasn't his cup of tea.
