This book isn't dead!

Ahem. So, this oneshot was a collab I wrote with DragonStarMusketeer and Unicorn5846. It's my first time writing together with people and I actually find it very pleasant and even convenient. There will be a second part to this.

If anyone had ever told Romeo that having his powers taken away wouldn't be the worst thing awaiting him, he would've laughed very bitterly. Everything he had ever had, everything he had ever relied on was now gone, leaving him with a very limited list of abilities and knowledge. What can be worse than losing everything you have, right?

Wrong.

Because the worst thing happened the moment Romeo saw Xara again. Or, rather, the moment he saw power pulsing inside her eyes, power that he had taken away such a long time ago. He didn't know how she got it back, of course. He didn't know when she got it back. He could only guess that the moment his powers were ripped out of his system the Gauntlet transferred them to Xara. Maybe. Or maybe not. But the point was that his old friend had her powers back as well as the wish to make him suffer.

The redhead cried out in pain when her heel landed on his back again, his spine almost cracking. “So you think you can take me through heck and back, and get away with it!?” She shouted in his ear, pain visible in her voice. “Think again…”

She kicked him again, and looked down at the redhead as he struggled to stand up.  On her face was a look of anger, pain and disgust. “How did I ever think you were my friend!?”

She heard a gasp from the male at her feet, as he started whimpering helplessly.

Xara looked around at the so-called ‘Order Of The Stone’, and rolled her eyes.  These people were just standing there watching. How pathetic. They didn’t deserve to even be in the presence of an admin like her.

She reached down and picked up the bruised redhead by the collar of his shirt and forced him to look into her eyes.  “Now you’ll see what it feels like…. to be tortured, humiliated, broken.”

Snapping her fingers, the world around them seemed to disappear, and Romeo felt his body being torn to pieces as Xara teleported them to someplace unknown.  He had never felt these effects when he had powers, and hoped he would never feel it again.

He looked around and noticed something off. His stomach felt like it was going to explode. The area around him was much like his terminal, except no builds. Not even a floor.

‘Was this what everyone else felt when he levitated them?’ “Ahem..” Romeo immediately spun around to face his ex-friend. “What are you going to do?” She asked. The redhead’s face grew confused. “I asked you a question.” She said angrily, “What are you going to do?” Romeo panicked at her clear irritation. “Uh… I-I don’t know?” He responded quickly.

He got a swift punch to the face. “Wrong answer.”

He felt himself falling through the air, thrown back by the force of her punch.  “You’re going to pay for everything you’ve done to me. And you’re going to accept it.”

Romeo tried his best to get away from her, but his attempts were pointless. He was now at her mercy. And there was nothing he could do about it. He was thrown into a wall that appeared behind him. The redhead expected to fall again, but he didn’t. Instead, there were purple energy rings that appeared at his wrists and ankles, holding him in place.

Xara floated closer and closer until she was right in front of him. “From now on, you listen to me.”

“Xara please!” He cried, “This is unnecessary!” Her face drowned in malice. “Unnecessary? Killing Fred was ‘unnecessary’, destroying our world was ‘unnecessary’. This? This is a punishment, a long overdue one.” She held out her hand and slowly the rings around Romeo’s wrists got smaller, the grip on his skin tightening. He tried to slip them out before it was too late, but he stopped realizing if he did, that he would only suffer more.  He couldn’t do anything.

The only thing he could do was cry. Tears spilled out of his eyes and Xara only laughed sadistically.

“Who do you think you are!?” She shouted at the weakened figure in front of her. “You think you’re the only one who’s in pain!?  I spent a century locked in a straight jacket, while you laughed at my pain. You don’t deserve pity, you deserve death.” She cackled, turning away.  “But don’t worry, I won’t kill you just yet, I need you to suffer some more first.”

Romeo looked at her in terror as she snapped her fingers once again.

Recovering from the nauseating pain, he looked around to find himself trapped in a stone cell with a single window, and no door.  His wrists were cuffed behind his back, and his ankles were chained to a hook in the floor. A metal muzzle covered his mouth, making breathing difficult.

He turned to look out the window, the metal restraints digging into his skin.  On the other side of the window, Xara looked in at him, smirking evilly. “I hope you hate it here, because this is where you’re going to stay.”

Romeo watched as his captor walked away from the window and out of view. He couldn't believe what had just happened, he just refused to believe it. How?! How was it that his former prisoner, heck, his former friend had turned against him?! And used her powers to hurt him so much… Did he really deserve it? Had he really hurt her so much?! He was positive that he had never made her go through even a tenth part of what she'd put him through!

Romeo looked down at his feet and sighed in surrender. He knew there wasn't much, if anything, that he could do. It just… It seemed impossible to believe in. He would've thought it was a mere dream if not for the pain inside his body, the worst pain imaginable. The redhead sat down - more like collapsed, since he couldn't really use his hands to balance himself - and leaned against the wall, more afraid than anything else.

His stomach grumbled and he winced. She-she wouldn't starve him, would she? Oh, he hoped not. He needed to eat something, he hadn't eaten anything at all ever since… Ever since his creation, really, since Admins don't need to eat. His head against the wall, he tried to think of a solution that would save him from Xara, but just as something appeared in his head, his consciousness slipped away from him and he fell asleep.
