"Don't ram me into the door!" Ruby shouted.

"Sorry!" Agate shouted back. "You're too small!"

Ruby growled as Agate shoved her into the house. The rest of Peridot's friends followed, all chatting with worried looks. I looked over at Peridot, who was sitting with one knee propped up to her chest.

"Alright, screwballs," she said. "This isn't playtime."

"Geez, Dot," Bismuth replied. "What's the big deal?"

"Topaz is back," Peridot answered. "She's been following Lapis around. We can't just let this happen."

"Topaz is powerless," Smoky said.

"Topaz is a tracker," Peridot replied. "At least that's what I think. I could probably take Lapis to the other side of town and she'd still track her down."

"Then what do we do?" Smoky asked.

"We have to make a plan to undermine theirs," Peridot answered. "The problem is, we don't know their plan. We need to find out before we do anything."

"Do you know where their lair is?" Zircon asked.

"I'm not sure," Peridot replied. "We destroyed their past lairs. Perhaps that wasn't a good idea."

"It's fine," Sapphire said. "All we'll need is a lead."

"Yeah," Agate continued her thought. "If we can follow Topaz, we should be able to pinpoint the location of her lair."

"Lapis said that, last time, when I looked up, Topaz ran away. If we're going to track her down, we'll need all hands on deck," Peridot said. "You guys all remember last time. We can't let it happen again."

The werewolves started to chat about ideas for a plan. I sat silently, just listening in. I knew Topaz wasn't going to make this easy for us. She was angry, and I knew that. The look in her eyes when she was glaring at me gave it away. Peridot and Bismuth were arguing about something, but I had missed what that something was. Both of them seemed to be very passionate about their side of the argument. Finally, I caught a hint at what they were arguing about.

"That wouldn't be safe for Lapis!" Peridot cried. "She could get hurt!"

"How could she get hurt?" Bismuth asked.

Again, they argued. Eventually, all of the werewolves were arguing. I growled and stood up on the arm of the couch.

"Shut up!" I shouted.

The room went silent, and all eyes were on me. Some of the werewolves look around, confused.

"Stop arguing!" I yelled. "We're never going to get anywhere like this!"

I fell back onto the couch and sank into the cushions. In the silence, I pouted.

"I'm sorry," Peridot whispered, kissing my cheek.

"What were you even arguing about?" I asked.

"We were trying to come up with a plan, and we didn't agree," Peridot answered. "Her plan could hurt you."

"Oh, please," Bismuth said. "How could it hurt her?"

"She could get hurt from moving so quickly!" Peridot cried. "She could get whiplash!"

"Don't argue!" I shouted.

Bismuth and Peridot looked at me. I growled again.

"Okay," Peridot said. "We should stop. Let's make a plan when we have some fresh ideas."
