Jamel
*
I pulled up to my boy Marco's place ready to chill with the boys. I had been ducked off for so long running the lounge to make sure straight with the club. I've had tight reins on my business ever since that bullshit.
"What's up man?" My boy Marco showed me love. "Felt like it's been forever since we last saw you.
"My bad," I chuckled. "Been busy with work and everything. You bums don't know shit about that do ya?" I smirked.
"Fuck you man," Tyrese said. "Not all of us can sit on our ass all day watching money roll in."
"You could but you're idiots."
"Yeah keep talking shit nigga," Marco said passing me a beer. "Zay! Let's go man." Isaiah came out of the house with his fiance Zoe.
"What's up Zay?" I smirked. "Hey Zoe. Long time no see."
"Hi," she mumbled looking away from me.
"Mel," Isaiah said bumping me on his way to his seat. I laughed at him.
"Y'all beefing or something?" Tyrese asked while eyeing the both of us. "Never thought I'd see the day."
"No beef. Right buddy?" I clapped Isaiah on the shoulder. He roughly pushed me away causing me to laugh more. "Still mad at me bro?"
"Fuck you Mel," he growled standing up. "You know you're a snake ass nigga for that shit. Don't fuck with me."
"What's up with y'all?" Marco asked.
"Still mad about Mo?" I chuckled. "Why though? We're just cooling it."
"There's no such thing as 'chilling' when it comes to you Mel and you know that."
"True. But your sister is a fucking tease. I can't even get a blow job from her." He swung and I stepped back causing him to barely miss me. I laughed as everyone held him back. "Gotta be quicker than that fam," I smirked.
"Stay the fuck away from my sister!" He yelled.
"Oh now she's your sister?" I grinned taking a sip of my beer. "If I remember correctly, she was nothing to you in high school and on up. You didn't care about her her entire life. I distinctly remember you always saying how life would've been better had she not been born in the first place."
"Fuck you Mel!"
"No fuck you Zay. You can't treat her like shit her entire life and now want to play the big brother role. You all abused the hell out of her, attacked her character all these years, and now you want to play big brother of the year? You're so full of shit man."
"I know how the fuck you are Mel," he huffed. "I won't let you play her like you do everyone else. You're not going to toy with her heart."
"Why not? You broke hers way before anybody else could." He stopped struggling and just stared at me. I chuckled. "It's funny you know. You don't even realize just how pathetic you are. You've blaming this girl for an affair she had no control over. You lost a dad. Boo fucking hoo. Monique lost both of her parents. Did you ever stop to think that the next best thing to a dad she had was her big brother?" I smirked as the guilt took over his face. "You have no right for butting in anything in her life."
"Shut up Mel," Zoe said glaring at me. "You don't-"
"Just forget it," Isaiah said shrugging the guys off. "Let's go." He glared at me as he passed. "I'm warning you Jamel. Don't fuck with her. You might not give a damn about what I have to say but there's someone even scarier than I am who will do anything to protect her."
I laughed. "I'm shaking in my boots Zay." I waved as the two left.
"Dude that's cold," Tyrese said. "You know him and Mo have a weird relationship."
"They don't have a relationship at all," Marco said. "Zay brought that onto himself for being childish and blaming her like it's her fault his old man stepped out on them. He doesn't have the right to be upset. Mo is grown and can make her own decisions."
"Exactly right," I said feeling my phone vibrate in my pocket. I looked at the number for a second before stepping away to answer it. "What's up?"
"Mel I need to talk to you," the person said.
"You are talking to me."
"In person," they emphasized.
I chuckled. "I don't have time for the games. Have a nice-"
"I'm pregnant Jamel," she said quickly. "I-I just found out."
"Hm," I said leaning on the wall. "Interesting. What are you telling me for?"
"Don't even try to play me," she spat. "I've been fucking only you these past few months."
I chuckled. "That's a bold face lie if I ever did hear one. We both know the truth."
"You know I'm not doing that anymore."
"Sure Keisha. Whatever you say. Even if there's a slim chance the kid is mine I honestly don't care. Kill the damn thing."
"W-What?"
"You really didn't think I'd want someone like you? Did you believe everything I told you about how smart and beautiful you were? You really are gullible aren't you? You know what the say, can't turn a hoe into a housewife."
"I can't believe you," she cried. "After everything, all this time I thought-"
"You thought I actually cared about you," I said in a condescending tone. "That's where you fucked up. Don't get mad at me you couldn't play the game right."
"You're the devil," she sniffed. "I can't believe I trusted you."
"You're weak that's why. Just like the rest of them. All weak women fall for the fairy-tale lines. Fall for the idea of a prince charming coming to save them." I let out a laugh. "It's amusing really. To see you all drink up everything I say like it's the last bit of water in a deserted dessert." I grinned at the sight. "It's even more so to see the face of despair when you see your efforts of forever after were in vain. To see I was nothing more than wolf in sheep's clothing."
"You're the worst," she said. "You've done this before? To every woman you meet? Do you not have a heart?" I shrugged not really caring what she has to say right now. "Monique. What about Monique? Do you not care about her at all?"
"Of course not," I chuckled. "She's not as weak as I thought she was. It'll be fun to break her."
"I won't let you," she screamed. "I'll tell her. I'll tell her what you really are."
"Are you sure about that? Why would she believe someone who's lied about their entire life?" I smirked at the hesitation.
"You wouldn't," she said.
"Just remember, you were the one that gave me the ammunition. It's sad really, you call those girls your friends but they don't even know who you REALLY are. I don't blame you. You sure have one hell of way of conning yourself into a group of successful women when you yourself are nothing but a dirty disgrace. At least, that's what they'll think IF they find out. Keep that in mind before you decide to interfere in my game sweetheart. Before I go, you sure are showing someone a lot of loyalty when you came into MY office right after she left that night willing to do everything she didn't want to that night." I smirked before hanging up. This game of ours was fun. I'll be damned if I let ANYONE come between it.
Hope you all enjoyed. Let me know your thoughts.
