"Cadie, tell your big head momma I said hurry up," I told her.
"You big head daddy," she said running off laughing. She's gotten fake ever since Mo decided to be her momma officially. She used to be my princess but now she's always up on Mo.
"Don't rush me Zy," Mo came out the room with a mug on her face. "You're the reason we're late in the first place. You were doing way too much."
"Who the hell decided to take ANOTHER hour long shower when I simply said change your clothes?"
"I specifically picked that outfit to pair with my bath stuff and since you made me change I had to shower again to get a different scent."
"You're just petty as hell Mo." She smirked knowing damn well I was right. "So damn extra. And what the hell you got on now?" At first Mo had on this gray dress that was too damn short so I made her change. Now she's got on some tight ass jeans with holes in them and white crop top that's showing all her chest.
"It's cute," she said.
"Mo I'm going to ring your neck."
"We don't have time for me to change so deal with it."
"Put on a damn sweater then."
"Fine Zy. Jesus. I damn near don't want to go anymore." She grabbed one of her colorful sweater shits that wasn't a sweater. I think she said it was a shawl or something. "Zy we gotta take a picture first."
"Really Mo?"
"Yes," she smiled. I shook my head and agreed to the hundreds of pictures she took just to find one she liked. We were all finally on our way to the cookout. "How about this one?" She showed me the picture of a house she was looking at. "It's cute."
"It's also small as hell."
"You're so picky," she stale-faced me. "How much room do you need?"
"With all the clothes you've got and all of Cadie's things I probably need two houses."
"Shut up I don't have that much stuff. And the closer to the city we are the smaller the house so you're going to have to deal with it."
"Nope. Not compromising on the size." She grumbled under her breath and kept looking. We've talked about getting a house first extensively and agreed that should be the way to go. We may not have been together long but we've known each other forever and have stayed over each other's place for an extended period of time lots of times before. Not to mention she's already basically moved into my apartment.
"We should just build our own house," she said flicking through pictures. "There's always something I don't like about these houses."
"I'm down for it but it's something we have to be sure it's what we're doing. I need to know if I need to renew my lease or not."
"I'll see if things at work improve." Ever since the drama with that nigga Jayden Mo has been debating on whether or not she wants move on in her career. She's at the point in her time with the company where she can either renew her contract with her current employers or look for work elsewhere.
"I already told you you don't have to leave if you don't want to. How much time have you invested into that company Mo? Don't let that lil nigga come in and run you away."
"I'm not," she said. "It's not just Jayden that's making me think like this. I think for a long time I've always doubted I made the right decision the first time. I thought that this is what I wanted but maybe it's not. And it's not like I'm changing careers or anything. I think I just want to move from that company and go somewhere else."
