Chapter Sixteen

Hagan And Felicity

Part One

Cassandra and her mother arrived at Hagan's Hall. Cassandra was confused, nervous, but excited all at the same time. She had never been anywhere other than Spain, but now she was in a place that technically didn't exist, at least not to humans anyway.

She was a little in disbelief, and a little thinking she was dreaming, but she'd gotten her mother to pinch her three times after they had portalled to Corodin. She felt sick, dizzy and her back hurt where she had fallen. But her mother was ushering her along quickly, constantly moaning at Cassandra to, "God gave you legs for a reason! To hurry the heck up!!"

She'd groaned and at least tried to keep up with her mother, who was almost running through this strange place. She wanted to slow down, to look around. It was actually quite a pretty place; houses with beautiful gardens, the Council Hall here was like an old Gothic cathedral, and she stood in awe without realising her mother was standing at the entrance, with an older man, waiting for her to come in.

"Sorry." She mumbled and started forward.

Hagan's long brown hair was swaying as he walked ahead of them. "I'm so glad you made it safely, Felicity. It's been a long time."

"Yes, it has. And now I'm back just as another battle seems to be on its way. Seems like it's becoming a habit of mine."

"Well, you did leave just as a battle was starting... Seems like you're starting where you left off." He smiled down at Felicity, who was at least a full foot shorter than him. His six foot five of height made her feel safe, but also like a dwarf.

The Hallway was long and at the end they came to a large hall, echoes of their voices going on seemingly forever. "I'm glad they agreed to let you come. We could use all the help we can get this time. And we believe you might be able to help us find out where the Relics are. Letitia knows, but I haven't had the chance to speak with her yet. I missed them when they were here. They're now in Hamjin. And tomorrow a group of them will go to Turran and some are going back home to Aura. All this travelling must be confusing for them, especially the young ones."

"How young?"

"Some are only thirteen." Hagan said.

"But I'm sure they'll be fine. It's in their blood after all."

"Indeed it is."

"Just like you, Cassandra." Felicity turned to look at her daughter and put a hand on her shoulder. "Don't worry. You'll be fine."

"Yeah... I don't feel fine. Just what exactly is going to happen now? We're here, I don't see demons. Can I go home now?"

"Cassie! You are here to train! Don't be so rude. Hagan here has taken time out of his schedule to help you. Now, I am going to have to take some measurements to go get your training and battle gear tailor made for you. Stand still."

Felicity rummaged in her bag for a tape measure and a notepad.

"Oh, by the way. Madame Greta is in Ayda now, I believe. Sherie has taken over in her place. You wouldn't ever know it though. They look identical to each other. And they both do a fantastic job with the clothes."

"Training and battle gear... But what if I don't have time to change into battle gear?"

"In this world you should always carry a weapon with you. We have ankle holsters, belts and... well, everything you'll need to conceal weapons even when you're in the human world. Demons could very well attack you there too... As well you know Cassandra." Hagan said. "The point is, when we know there's going to be a battle, put them on. Simple."
