I look over my shoulder to see a boy the same age as me. He is grinning from ear to ear and I feel my face heating up.

Ruel- hey I'm Ruel, I'm new to this area and I saw you were wearing the same uniform as me and I thought maybe you could help me out a bit?

August- hi I'm August I'd love to help, our stop is about two away.

His smile grew more and it made me smile. As we waited for the next couple of stops we talked about ourselves.

We got off the bus and walked into school together. As we walked in we got a bunch of stares. I could see Ruel looking suspicious I didn't tell him anything about my school experience. He looked towards me and all I wanted to do was runaway. I quickly showed him to the office and made an excuse to leave. Ruel seemed like a nice guy but pretty soon he would learn the right way of our school and not talk to me like pretty much everyone else.
