Chapter 3: Friendly Conversations

ETHAN'S P.O.V

I was getting a note from the school office when I saw the back of a girl. I walked up to her and asked her if she was lost. As she turned around I saw her big brown beautiful eyes widen. She asked me where room 134 was, and she sounded nervous. I walked her to the room that I was also in.

SAMANTHA'S P.O.V

We finally got to room 134, and Ethan opened the door for me and gave me a smile. It made me feel a bit more comfortable. As I walked into the science class, everyone was staring at me.

"Hello dear, what's your name?" asked the teacher.

Me: "I'm S-samantha."

Everyone was in partners in front of the science equipment on each bench.

Teacher: "Ethan, would you mind being partners with Samantha?"

Ethan: "Sure miss."

That made me feel a little more confident, even though I just met him 5 minutes ago.

Teacher: "In this class we will be mixing liquids."

Ethan: "So Samantha, are you nervous about starting a new a school?" Ethan said while mixing some type of liquid with another.

Should I be honest?

Me: "Not really, just a little."

Ok I had to stretch the truth just a bit!

Ethan: "Really? Well you shouldn't be anyway", He grinned.

I gave him a little smile back.

After asking each other a few questions, the science class was over. It went better than I thought!

The next class was Maths, Sophia was in that class, phew!

Ethan: "Do you need any help making your way to your next class?"

Me: "Yeah I do actually, I've got maths next, do you know which way room 146 is?"

Ethan: "Oh, same class again! Follow me", I felt a little relieved.

We finally got there on time, and I saw Sophia waving to me and pointing to a empty seat next to her.

Me: "Ethan, my friend is over there, mind if I sit with her?"

I didn't want to sound mean, but honestly I really wanted to tell Sophia about Ethan!

Ethan: "Sure, sure go ahead!" He said happily.

Sophia: "Hey Samantha, was tha-"

I stopped her and finished her sentence.

Me: "Yes, that was my dream guy, Ethan talking to me", I said with a cheesy tone.

Sophia: "Ooh look who's got there eyes on you!"

I look around, saw Ethan a few desks away from the side of me. He was staring at me, and when I caught him he grinned and looked away. After he looked away I stared for a extra second, to see that it looked like he was blushing!

After what felt like forever, maths was finally finished! Sophia and I were walking towards the door of the classroom, when suddenly Ethan stopped me.

Ethan: "Uhh, Samantha, I was wondering if you maybe wanted to go to the park after school, only if you want."

He sounded super nervous. But what did he just ask me!?

Me: "Sure, I would love to", I said excitedly.

Ethan: "Ok, meet me at the school gates!"

He was gone in the blink of an eye.

Sophia: "Well well well, someone's got a date!"

Me: "It's not a date!" I said trying to act calm which I failed because I was so excited!

It was recess so Sophia and I met up with Amelia and spoke about our day so far.

The end of the school day didn't take too long to come. My new school is about 10 minutes away from home, but I've never been to this area. As I was walking towards the school gates I called my mum, letting her know that I would be going to the park with a 'friend' guessing she would think of Amelia or Sophia.

After saying my goodbyes to Amelia and Sophia, I saw Ethan giving me a guiding wave. I rushed up to him.

Ethan: "Ready?"

Me: "Yep, ready."
