Chapter 17: Pool Party!

SAMANTHA'S P.O.V

I woke up to see Ethan laying next to me, shirtless. Let me tell you, he looked pretty good!

I turned around to see the time, and it was 7:30am. Another half an hour to relax!

I looked over at Ethan, peacefully sleeping. I couldn't take my eyes off him, he looked like an angel!

Ethan: "Stop staring." He mumbled.

Me: "Ethan! You scared me!"

He sat up while laughing and pulled me over on his lap. His hair was incredibly messy, but it looked cute.

Ethan: "Good morning sunshine, what's our plans for today?" He said with his eyes half shut.

Me: "Um Ethan, it's Monday... I think we have school!" I said laughing.

Ethan: "Oh... Um, what happened last night?" He said looking at his bare chest.

Me: "Well, I've got my clothes on..."

Ethan: "Eh, true." He said relieved.

He snuggled me whilst I was sitting in his warm lap.

Me: "Eth, I think we should get ready for school." I said realising it was 8 o'clock already.

After getting ready, we dropped by Ethan's place so he could put on his school uniform, then we were off to the bus.

When the bus got to school, we were heading up to our lockers, when I felt a tap on my shoulder.

"Hey guys! My birthday party is this Sunday, and I was wondering if you would like up come? Oh by the way, Samantha I don't think we've met, my name is Paige."

Me: "Thanks for the invite, we'd love to, right Ethan?" I said while nudging him.

Ethan: "Uh yeah ok." He said nervously.

He seemed quite uncomfortable for some unknown reason.

Paige: "Cool, I'll see you then! It's a pool party!" She said excitedly while handing us each an invitation.

Ethan: "Samantha I love you, so I need to tell you something."

Me: "Sure?"

Ethan: "I've had some... History with Paige.."

Me: "History?"

Ethan: "Um yeah. We never officially went out, but we had some feelings for each other." He said looking at the ground.

Me: "Is it over?"

Ethan: "Of coarse babe, I love you!"

I felt like Ethan was telling the truth. Paige seemed like such a lovely girl, she would never do anything to hurt me.

After a pretty boring week, it was finally Sunday morning.

Paige's party starts at 10am, and it's 8am. I decided to start getting ready.

I picked out my aqua frilly bikinis, and got all the stuff that was required for the pool party.

My phone beeped.

(Ethan 💘: Hey babe, ready to splash! I'll pick you up at 9:30. ❤️)

(Me: Why so early? It's only a 15 minute drive!)

(Ethan 💘: Well I want to spend 15 minutes with my girl! Too much to ask? 😘)

(Me: Mm okay, see yah then! 💕)

When Ethan arrived, I opened the door for him to see a huge bright smile!

Me: "Hey babe!" I said excitedly jumping into his arms.

Ethan: "Someone's happy!"

Me: "Hehe, come let's take selfies!"

After taking loads of selfies together, Mum drove us to Paige's house.

Ethan: "Thanks for the drive!" He said while hopping out of the car.

Mum: "No worries, I'll be here to pick you up at 6pm?"

Me: "Yep, bye Mum!"

As Ethan and I turned around to face the house, It looked pretty big. We knocked on the door, with Paige slightly opening the door.

Paige: "Hey you two! Glad you could make it, come right inside!" She said opening the door wide, to see heaps of people crowding the inside of the house.

Paige was wearing neon pink bikinis, and some shades.

Ethan grabbed my hand to comfort me, as I was the new girl this year. There were so many unfamiliar faces.

We made our way outside, looking at the huge pool with a water slide and a load of sun beds.

Ethan: "How about I introduce you to some people?"

Me: "Uh yeah ok."

He introduced me to a lot of people, and I had already forgotten some of their names.

I was looking around, to see Sasha, Tanisha and Adriana.

Me: "Girls! You were invited? How did I not know!" I asked confused yet suprised.

Sasha: "Paige has a huge pool party every year, everyone in the grade is invited haha!"

Sasha and the girls invited me to sun bake with them.

Ethan: "I'll go chat with the boys. Talk later!" He said giving me a kiss on the cheek.

After a few hours of splashing in the water and relaxing on the sun beds while having intense conversations with the girls, I decided to get up and search for Ethan.

I saw Tyler and Zac by the water slide, so I went up to ask them if they've seen Ethan.

Me: "Hey guys, have you seen Ethan anywhere?"

Zac: "Nah sorry."

Tyler: "I haven't seen him for a while."

A while?

I scanned the inside of the house, still no where to be seen. Where could he be?

I knocked on the bathroom doors, no one was there either.

I was so desperate to find him, so I checked every single room of the house. I opened the door for the last room in the house which was a bedroom, to see Paige KISSING Ethan and Ethan kissing her back?!

I just stood there awkwardly, unable to believe my eyes. How could he do this to me?

I stormed out of the room with Ethan chasing me.

Ethan: "Sam, it's not what you think!" He shouted desperately wanting me to listen.

Now everyone was staring.

Me: "Leave me alone Ethan!"

Ethan: "B-but-" He said while a tear trickled down his cheek.

Me: "No Ethan, I've had enough. We are over."

I didn't even know if I meant those words, I just wanted to get out of here.

I started running home, as fast as I could. My tears made my vision blur but I didn't stop running.

After about thirty minutes I finally arrived home. I rushed inside running straight to my room, keeping my head down so my Mum couldn't see my tears.

Mum: "Oh, honey your home early?" She asked confused.

Me: "Yeah it ended earlier than I thought."

I quickly ran in my room and slammed the door shut.

What. Just. Happened.
