Chapter 12: Love Is In The Air

SAMANTHA'S P.O.V

After saying bye to my friends, Ethan and I were on our way to the ice cream shop. By this time, the rain had stopped and the sun had come out.

It was actually beautiful weather, so that was something to look forward to.

Ethan: "So, have you ever been to icy land before?"

Me: "Icy what?" I asked confused.

Ethan: "Haha it's the name of the ice cream shop!"

Me: "Oh hehe nah I haven't."

Ethan: "Really! Well you have to go there more often!"

On our way to the ice cream shop, we walked past a little park. As we were walking across the park, I could see the front of the ice cream shop. When we walked into icy land, there was an explosion of colours. It was so cool, there was Ice cream, frozen yoghurt, gelato, and a crazy amount of toppings!

Ethan: "What do you think?" He said while winking.

Me: "This is definitely the best ice cream shop I've ever been to!"

Ethan got chocolate mud brownie flavour with extra chocolate topping of coarse, and I got caramel fudge cake flavour with smarties on top.

Ethan brought me back to the little park and we sat on the bench while eating our ice creams. It was pretty tasty!

Ethan: "How's your caramel fudge cake?" He said with a full mouth of ice cream.

Me: "It's good, and I can see your enjoying your chocolate mud brownie."

I saw a huge blob of ice cream on top of his mouth.

Me: "Hahaha nice mouth Ethan!"

He got out his phone and looked on the camera to see his upper lip.

Ethan: "Oh. Well I thought this look was in fashion, that's all."

Me: "Yeah sure Ethan." I said sarcastically.

We took a few selfies with his 'fashionable' blob of ice cream on his upper lip.

After he put his phone in his pocket, I felt like I couldn't stand to see the ice cream above his lip anymore.

Me: "Here let me get it."

I gently wiped off the ice cream on top of his mouth with a napkin.

Ethan: "Why, thank you!" He said with a posh voice.

We both laughed and stared up at the sky.

Me: "It's getting late Ethan I should-"

Ethan: "Samantha, I've got something to ask you."

He bent down on one knee looking like he was about to propose marriage.

Me: "Uh yeah sure, go ahead?"

Ethan: "Samantha Blume, will you be my girlfriend?"

There was a group of teens surrounding us and smiling.

"Aww!"

"How cute!"

"That's so sweet!"

"What cuties!"

Me: "Yes Ethan Karpathy!" I said excitedly, still confused on what had just happened.

He lifted me up and swung me around in the air.

Everyone clapped.

Ethan: "Come on, I'll walk you home!"

He put his arm around me and kissed my head. This is definitely an evening I'll never forget! When I got home Ethan gave me a goodnight kiss and left.
