Chapter 16: Romantic Evening

SAMANTHA'S P.O.V

We were at the highest point of the roller coaster, when it started going down, but for only 2 seconds, because it just.. Stopped?!

Me: "Ethan, what's happening?"

Ethan: "I-I'm not sure. Just relax babe, it's probably supposed to happen."

I was so scared, I felt my chest tighten.

Sasha: "Sam, it's ok. I think it's apart of the roller coaster ride."

Carnival staff: "Um, just relax everyone. The cart happens to be stuck. W-we don't know why, this has never happened before!"

Well I guess Ethan was wrong. The cart was stuck on the highest point of the roller coastser. Perfect, because I'm terrified of heights. Note my sarcasm.

Me: "W-what?! You mean we are stuck?!"

Ethan: "Sam, breathe! I'm sure they'll get us out in no time!"

I felt so panicky, I didn't know what to do.

Ethan wrapped his arms around me, and I didn't care how tight it was, I felt safe with him.

Ethan: "Now, they're going to get us out of this mess, and we are going to happily leave like none of this happened, ok?"

Me: "Yeah ok, but what about our parents? How are are we going to contact them if our phones are on the ground?"

He stared up into the sky with his beautiful eyes glowing.

Ethan: "I know, we'll get the staff to call them. It's all going to be ok!"

After Sasha, Tanisha, Ethan and I shouted out our parents numbers to the staff, our parents arrived shortly after the notice.

Mum: "Sam, are you ok honey?!"

Me: "Uh yeah I guess?" I said unsure of what to say.

Well, I am stuck on the highest point of the roller coaster with a fear of heights!

After 6 hours of torture, we finally were able to get down!

Me: "I'm never going on that again!" I said honestly.

Tanisha: "Well, that was quite a ride!"

Sasha: "Only the best, fastest, adrenalin rushing ride!"

Ethan: "Hey Samantha, how about we come back tonorrow!?" He said sarcastically.

After joking about how 'amazing' the ride was, we all went our separate ways home, except Ethan and his Mum, because we are neighbours.

I checked the time on my phone, 700pm.

Nicole: "So what exactly happened up there you two?" She said as we were walking home.

Ethan: "Well, we were going up, and then a couple of seconds down, and then bam! It just stopped!"

Mum: "Now that sounds like a ride I'd love to go on!" She joked.

After having a little conversation together on our way up, Ethan's Mum and mine said their goodbyes. Ethan and I decided to sit outside my house, just the two of us.

Ethan: "Sam, I'm sorry for uh, all that."

Me: "Don't apologise Eth! It's not your fault."

Ethan: "I just wanted you to have a good day, forget about all the drama. I'm sorry you had to experience that. It must've been pretty terrifying, with your heights fear."

Me: "Well, I'm just glad it's over! Um Ethan, do you want to stay over at my place tonight?"

Ethan: "Sure, I'll just quickly text my Mum."

Me: "Thank you, I just feel like I need someone tonight."

Ethan: "So do I! Hey can we do this every night!"

Me: "Haha in your dreams bud!" I said in a low voice.

After mucking around having a laugh, we made our way into my house.

Me: "Hey Mum, is it alright if Ethan stays over tonight?"

Mum: "Oh, is Nicole ok with that?"

Ethan: "Yeah, I sent her a text and she said it's fine."

Mum: "Ok, but don't you two get too close!" She said winking at me.

Wow, can she make things any more awkward.

Me: "Uh Ethan, we don't have a guest room. Your going to have to share my bed, is that ok?"

Ethan: "Haha yeah that's fine!"

After having a short conversation, we walked up to my room and spent some time on Instagram.

Mum: "I've got hot choloate!" She said walking into my room.

Ethan: "Ooh thanks!"

Me: "Mmm thank you Mumma Bear!"

Ethan: "Hey, that's my line!" He said referring to all the times I would pick on him for calling his Mum that.

After having our delicious hot chocolate, Ethan tickled me until I was out of breathe from laughing!

Me: "I'll be right back, I just need to use the bathroom." I said as It felt like my bladder was about to explode.

When I walked back into my room, I was shocked.

There were soothing scented lit candles everywhere, rose petals all over the floor, and of coarse, the best of all, Ethan laying on my bed with a big grin!

Me: "Ethan this is.. Amazing!"

Ethan: "Thought I'd give you a little surprise!" He said winking at me.

Me: "How did you manage to do all of this in such little time, and where did you find-"

Ethan: "It's a secret, now come over here will you!"

I sat on the bed, looking at the pretty scented candles. I can't believe he did this for me!

He suddenly started massaging my shoulders, and let me say, it was something to remember!

Me: "Well, that was uh, nice!" I said once he finished.

Ethan: "Eh, it's just a little talent." He said cheekily.

I slowly turned around and looked into his gorgeous brown eyes, with all the lit candles making them shine.

In just a few seconds, he grabbed my waist and I put my arms around his neck. Unsurprisingly, he leaned in and let his soft lips do all the work.

After a few minutes, still kissing, we went under the covers. It was the most beautiful thing to ever happen to me in my life. It was truly an amazing moment. Everything was... Perfect!
