Chapter 4: Getting To Know Mr Perfect

SAMANTHA'S P.O.V

As we were walking to the park, I felt a soft breeze of wind. The sun was shining, so basically it was perfect weather. I've never been to this area before, so it was all new to me.

Ethan: "So how'd you enjoy your first day of school?"

Me: "It was fine, thank you."

Ethan: "School is so fun isn't it!" Ethan said sarcastically.

Me: "Yeah totally! It's almost better than Christmas!" I was also being sarcastic.

We were both laughing.

We had a little chat about school, and Ethan was telling me some of the school rules. Every once in a while he'd say something that'd make me laugh.

We finally arrived to what looked like a average sized park with a pretty cool playground, if I do say so myself. There was also a beautiful pond that shimmered in the sun, with a few ducks.

Ethan: "Race you to the monkey bars!" Ethan shouted.

Me: "Your on!"

Obviously Ethan won, with his perfect legs and all.

After a while of mucking around on the kids playground, we sat on the bench and chilled out on our phones. We traded Instagram usernames, snapchat usernames, and also phone numbers!

I checked the time on my phone, it was 5:30!

Me: "Ethan, I've got to get home".

Ethan: "Oh.. Sure sure." He said sadly.

I told him what area I lived in, and surprisingly he didn't live too far away from my house!

We walked down to the bus stop, discussing our subjects for tomorrow.

In no time at all, the bus arrived.

I sat next to Ethan, obviously because there was no one else in the bus that we knew.

Ethan: "Hey, I had fun today."

Me: "So did I, thanks for showing me around the park."

Ethan: "No worries, we should do this again sometime."

Yes, we should indeed! It felt like everything was almost going too well!

The bus finally stopped, and it was our stop. Ethan walked me up to my house. I gave him a wave, and he headed to his house.

Mum: "Where have you been all this time?"

Me: "Mum I told you, I was at the park."

Mum: "You didn't tell me you would be home this late!"

I just ignored her and grabbed some ice cream out of the freezer.

Mum: "How was your first day?"

Me: "It was alright."

After finishing my ice cream I went to my room and got changed into my pyjamas.

For the rest of the night I was laying on my bed scrolling through Instagram, when suddenly I got a message.

It was from Ethan! Wow that was fast!

(Ethan 💘: Hey, you forgot to walk me home! 😒)

I giggled.

(Me: Oh sorry. It's just that I thought it was 'ladies first' 😂.)

(Ethan 💘: Hmm I've never heard that before 😉.)

Ooh! A wink face! Things are getting great faster than I thought they would!

(Me: Well then Mr Karpathy, I think it's time you get some sleep! Tomorrow I'll teach you all the 'basics' of life, so you must get a good night sleep! ☺️)

I didn't want to end the conversation, but it was getting late and I was really tired.

(Ethan 💘: Well is that so! Ok teacher, you also need a good night sleep to teach a good lesson! 😏)

Things had gotten off to a great start! I put my phone on charge and went to sleep with a huge smile on my face.
