Chapter 26: Still His Girl

SAMANTHA'S P.O.V

I think it took about a minute for me to realise that Jake was still standing right in front of me.

Jake: "Uh Sam? You ok there?" He said awkwardly waiting for me to respond.

Me: "Your g-gay?" I said absolutely shocked.

Jake: "Yeah, is that a big shock or?"

It was most certainly a huge shock, but thinking back now, his voice and personality seemed to fit right in. I guess I just had too much in my head to realise.

Me: "Well, that's great actually! Congratulations!" I said jumping into his arms with joy.

This is great! I'll explain this whole thing to Ethan and by the end this will all be a misunderstanding!

Jake: "Um ok then, let's get ready for school shall we?" He said rolling his eyes with a smirk on his face.

I took out a warm fashionable jumper from my wardrobe, matching with my navi blue skinny jeans, and my fully black converse. I was quite excited about the snow today!

Jake finished getting ready way earlier than I did, but I finally finished. Time for breakfast.

Jake and I quietly walked down the stairs, and I don't think Mum and Frank realised because they continued having a 'friendly conversation'. I could almost swear they were flirting.

Jake: "You two don't mind us, we're just two innocent people that want to get out of this house OW!"

I stomped on his foot in order for him to shut up.

We decided to just eat a banana each and then we were off.

Jake: "So you found it hard to believe that I'm gay huh?" He said shaking his head and slightly laughing as we were walking to school.

Me: "Do you want the truth?"

Jake: "Go ahead."

Me: "Well it was a bit of a shock, but I'm glad."

We arrived at the school gates.

Me: "Uh, Jake, would it be alright if I could speak to Ethan alone?"

Jake: "I'll meet you in class!" He said walking in a different direction.

Well, that's one thing less to worry about, now if I can just find- Ethan!

He was putting something in his locker. I basically ran right up to him.

Me: "Ethan! You'll never guess-"

He turned around and gave me a little smile.

Ethan: "Hey Sam. What's up?" He said casually as if nothing ever happened.

Me: "Jake is, well, he's gay!" I said way too excitedly, and I think Ethan noticed.

I saw the change of expression on his face. His eyes widened, his eyebrows narrowed, and his jaw dropped.

Ethan: "Well that's unexpected!"

Me: "Etho I'm so sorry for everything, I didn't expect you to break up with me-"

Ethan: "Break up with you? I never broke up with you, I just wanted some space. Your still my girl!"

Those words gave me goosebumps. The kind of goosebumps that I like.

Me: "Aw babe you got me worried!"

Ethan: "Aye, I'd never leave you, remember?" He said putting his arm around my shoulder and kissing my head while walking to class with me, with a smirk that looked like he was proud to call me his girlfriend.

Recess arrived, and I saw Jake by his locker.

Ethan: "Hey Jake, you wanna sit with us?" He said kindly, looking at me and winking.

I felt really good about the fact that Ethan wanted to do something sweet, after this big misunderstanding.

Jake: "Sure thing, I'll just get my snack." He said while a big smile appeared on his face.

Me: "Thank you!" I whispered to Ethan as he held my hand and walked back to the table.

Sasha: "So what's the gossip?" She said while filing her nails as we sat back on the wooden plank.

Me: "Well, mr flirtatious is actually gay-"

Sasha: "Whaat! Well that was such a big misunderstanding!" She said laughing and shaking her head.

Me: "Right! Yeah well turns out Ethan didn't dump me, he just needed space!"

Ethan: "Thats right, move over Sam!" He said jokingly while pushing me to the end of the plank.

The whole group started laughing.

Me: "Ha-ha!" I said rolling my eyes with a huge smirk.

Ethan: "Only joking babe!" He said cheerfully while pulling me onto his lap.

Moments later, Jake came to the table.

Ethan: "Ahh, you made it!" He said with a huge smile, even though the table was only a few metres away from his locker.

Jake: "Tough journey to this table, you have no idea!" He said sarcastically while pretending to swipe sweat off his forehead.

Zac: "I bet it was!" He said while chuckling with Dylan and Tyler.

Today was fun, I think Jake really turned us into a group of smiley faces by the end of the day, he has such a bright bubbly personality.

After saying goodbye to everyone except Jake and Ethan, we decided to walk home together.

Ethan: "Hey, who wants to stop at the park?"

Jake: "Sounds like a date!" He said winking at Ethan.

I couldn't help but laugh extremely hard, the way he said it was hilarious! Just because he's gay, and that wink!

The walk to the park was surprisingly not awkward at all, Jake just wouldn't stop talking! Ethan and I kept looking at each other trying to contain our laughter, this guy could be a comedian!

Ethan: "You know what I feel like?!"

Me: "A kiss from your girlfriend!" I said while giving him a little peck.

Jake: "Ewww take it somewhere else you two!" He said covering his eyes with a huge cheeky smirk.

Ethan: "Yeah, but I also feel like ice cream!"

Me: "Isn't it way too cold for ice cream, I mean, it's snowing!"

Jake: "It's never too cold for ice cream!"

We got our ice creams and sat on the swing set. There were three swings, two adult swings and one baby swing. Of coarse, the one and only wanted to be on the baby one!

Jake: "You guys are missin out!" He said while swinging his legs on the baby swing.

Me: "No thanks, I'm not a baby sooo..."

Ethan: "Your not? Aw I guess I won't get cuddles then." He said pulling a sad face.

Me: "Yeah yeah." I said staring off into the dark snowy sky.
