Chapter 10: The Sleepover

SAMANTHA'S P.O.V

When we were halfway up to his house, he stopped me and looked into my eyes.

Ethan: "I love you Samantha." He said softy but confidently.

Me: "I love you too Ethan."

The words slipped out of my mouth, but I actually didn't regret saying it. It felt pretty good.

He held my hand gently and we continued walking up to his house.

We arrived and Ethan knocked. As the door swung open, I saw a big smile.

Nicole: "Hello Samantha! Hi Ethan, did you bring over your friend again?"

Ethan: "Haha yes mum. We have a Science project due tomorrow."

Nicole: "Oh ok, better get started soon! I'll make you guys a little snack."

We put our bags down, and Ethan and I said hi to Tahlia and Ethan's dad David.

Nicole: "There you go, I made you a snack. I'll be up a level of you need me."

Me: "Thanks Nicole!"

Ethan: "Yeah thanks mum."

We sat on some little stools next to them kitchen bench.

She made us a delicious avocado dip with some crackers. I have to admit, it was pretty tasty!

All of Ethan's family were on the second level of Ethan's house, except for Ethan and I. We were on the bottom level. The bottom level of his house has the living room, kitchen, study and a few other things. The second level has all the bedrooms and another tv and couch set, and I'm not sure what's on the top level. Ethan's never taken me to the top level of his house, so I guess that will just remain a mystery.

After we finished our quick snack, Ethan led me to the study which was where we were going to do our project.

Ethan: "Hey Samantha this might take us a while, do you want to stay over tonight?"

Me: "Sure Eth, I'll just call my mum and get her to bring over my pyjamas."

While I was on the phone with mum Ethan told his mum that I was staying for the night.

Mum: "Hello Samantha? Where are you?"

Me: "Oh mum sorry, I forgot to tell you. I'm at a friends house working on homework that's due tomorrow. I actually called because It might take us a while and uh, I was wondering if I could stay over?"

Mum: "Alright, but what are you going to wear to bed?"

Me: "I'm only a few blocks away! Is it possible you could drop off my pyjamas? The house number is 144."

Mum: "Oh haha that's pretty close! Ok I'll be there in a sec."

That went better than I expected thankfully.

In a few minutes my mum arrived. Ethan and I opened the door.

She seemed surprised to see a boy standing next to me. Oh wait, did I not mention to her that this friend of mind is a boy? Oh well.

Me: "Thanks mum, I'll see you tomorrow afternoon."

Mum: "Um yeah ok bye."

I pretty much slammed the door in her face. I was actually quite excited to be sleeping over at Ethan's house, even though we were going to do homework pretty much the whole night!

Ethan: "We should start our project."

Me: "Yep we definitely should."

After about 3 hours of working and quietly chatting, we heard a knock on the study door.

Nicole: "Are you two all good?"

Ethan: "Yeah were fine mum, what's up?"

She pulled her hands out from behind her back and she was holding something.

Nicole: "I got you treats!"

She showed us a huge bowl of expensive chocolates, chips, ice cream, cake pops, lollipops, cotton candy, and so much more!

Ethan: "Wow thanks mum!"

Me: "Yeah thanks, you really didn't have to!"

Nicole: "I didn't, but I wanted to!"

What a great mum! Ethan sure does have the best mum in the world.

Nicole went back up to the second level.

After another 2 hours of working on our project, Nicole came down to the study and said that she's going to bed as well as David and Tahlia. After she left I saw Ethan check his phone.

Ethan: "11:00."

Me: "Ethan how much do we have left?"

Ethan: "Umm, I think were done! Samantha come with me."

He grabbed the bowl with all the treats inside and headed up the stairs. We went to the third level.

When we reached the third level all I could see was a hallway, but Ethan opened one of the doors on the side of the hallway. It was a big room with a king size bed and a tropical theme to it.

Me: "This a lovely room!"

Ethan: "This isn't what I wanted to show you. Follow me." He said with a cute grin on his face.

He looked really excited, and his face lit up when he opened another door connected to the room we just came in.

Me: "W-wow! This is b-eautiful!"

He took me out on the balcony, and the views were incredible! I couldn't take my eyes off the city lights.

Ethan put down the bowl of treats on a table on the balcony, and took out a mattress from the wardrobe in the room we went in. He brought the mattress out on the big balcony.

Ethan: "Before we go to bed, lets get some air. Well come on, what're you waiting for? Take a seat!" He said laughing with joy.

I sat on the comfy mattress and looked up at the sky. The stars looked as if they were shining even brighter on this beautiful night. The breeze couldn't have been any more perfect. I have to say, It was an amazing moment.

Ethan jumped up off the mattress and brought the treats onto the mattress.

Ethan: "Soo, what do you think? It's nothing special really, just a bit of night breeze."

Me: "Nothing special? I love it Ethan! This is beautiful, the views are absolutely stunning!"

Ethan: "I though you'd like it."

He took out 2 magnum ice creams and gave me one. It was so nice!

After being the greedy piggies we were, stuffing our faces with treats, we took a few minutes to lie down and enjoy the moment. I felt like all my worries just flew away with the breeze. I felt like from now on, everything was ok. I looked at Ethan, and he got closer to me. Before I knew it, his soft lips were on mine. It lasted for a bit longer this time. When we were done I smiled at him and looked back up at the stars.

ETHAN'S P.O.V

We took a few minutes to lie down and enjoy the moment. When I looked up at the stars, all I could see was Samantha's beautiful face. It was like the stars were trying to tell me something. I never wanted the moment to end. I looked at Samantha, and gave her a kiss she'll never forget.

SAMANTHA'S P.O.V

Every single time he kissed me, it felt magical. I felt sparks after the kiss he just gave me. It was amazing. He wrapped his arms around me, and I felt really comfortable and safe. I slowly started to feel my eyelids getting heavier, and heavier.
